If it works correctly when you manually move the lever, it could just be rust build up in the ball linkages. Spray the dickens out of the entire loader wobble stick linkages with Kroil and see if it frees up. If not, the dump position of the control valve could be a detent type that is responsible for tripping the handle back to center position once it is released and internal of the valve the components that cause it to move to center are stuck. Could be as simple as a rusty ball bearing and spring.
Replace valve body.. sounds like your directional control valve body has a cylinder bypass condition. This is the valve body that your lever controls. Has 3-4 positions. Each position, when actuated allows fluid to flow, and transfers pressure to that position, which actuates a desired cylinder. The valve body consists of 2,3,4+ pistons which are kept at their home positions by a spring and fluid pressure. After a life of use, these pistons tend to wear the valve body cylinder bore, allowing fluid pressure to escape to an undesired action.
