Does timer still work?
Time now is just a locator so dial lines up correctly with current time
Line up current time with 1:30 position on dial.

Woods 59730 6 plug outdoor timer. Hour arrow is stuck and rotates with the outer dial. How can I fix it. Thanks.

Spray WD40?
If the timer still works, then the loose part should not be a problem.
The time-now arrow points at about the 1:30 position.
You can rotate dial until current time lines up with approximately 1:30 position.

Brand new Woods Timer (Model 59730) turns on/off correctly, but completely stops during "off" hours every day. When I reset the current time, it runs for about 8-10 hours, then stops. Returned...

It seems odd that you'd get two defective timers.
I bought one of these timers from Home Depot under the GE brand and the dial rotates correctly as time passes.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59730
Woods 59730/ GE 15107 timer is a mechanical timer, so circuit problems should not affect clock motor.
On electronic timers, if circuit is not clean (circuit has ground fault), then timers don't last long and do peculiar things.

My suggestion is to try timer on indoor plug, on a different circuit breaker, for 1 day and see if it keeps running.
This will tell you if outdoor plug might have a loose wire, and that electricity is getting cut off.

Also take advantage of fixya phone service.
For a price, expert speaks with you over phone while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

Wood timer 59108. We do not have manual and don't know how it works.

I don't have 59108 timer listed for Woods.

1) Woods makes 59018 White-colored in-wall digital 7-day timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Woods-59018-59028.pdf

2) Photo that you posted question with is Woods outdoor 59204 or Woods outdoor 49109
These timers have a dial on face of timer.
Rotate dial until current time lines up with arrowhead.
Segments located around edge of dial are used to set times.
Move segments up-down (49109) or in-out (59204) to set on-off times
Move override dial (49109) or override switch (59204) to Timer, or timer ON so timer will follow programming

If above is not your timer, link below shows all Woods timers and manuals to help identify your timer

I need instructions on how to use my outdoor timer for the model59733 the other number is 23uld/3ao

59733 appears to be Woods timer number, but Coleman Cable CCI does not have 59733 manual.
Internet search turns up no Woods 59733 number.
There is a Woods 59730 outdoor timer stake, but I can't find manual for 59730 either.
http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4433644&CAWELAID=604875525

I do not have 59733 timer photo or manual.
But some Woods timers go by more than 1 number.
Check if your timer appears on following page:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

Woods also has promotional line of timers sold in retail stores, and many of these timers carry Woods name but nobody has on-line information.

If I find manual or more information I will post on this thread.

I can't find the pins that the instructions refer to.

Woods timers:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

1) You posted question under Woods 59383 which has segments located around edge of dial.
These segments are pulled up to set OFF times.
Segments are left in down position for ON times.

2) Other Woods timers have tiny pins that stick up on the dial.
Pins are located on part of dial that rotates.
Get your glasses.
Run your finger across the dial and you can feel tiny metal pins that stick up.
Dial has 48 pins. Each represents 1/2 hour.
Use fingernail to move pins outward from center of dial.
Pins out = timer ON
Pins inward = timer OFF

Below are 2 EXAMPLES of Woods timer showing pins and segments
