If you trust yourself enough to open the case w/o breaking stuff, then open it up UNPLUGGED, locate the laser lens (small, clear, plastic) gently clean the lens with a swab of lens cleaner for glasses.
Also clean the chrome runners that the laser assembly tracks on.

HOW DO I MAKE THE CD'S PLAY RANDOMLY WITH THE YAMAHA CDC 685 MODEL

shotgirl232,
Setting your model to play in random mode is easy just nothing you would think to press on the remote. The remote is required to do so on your model. Use the link below to access to instructions:

Buttons on the remote of my new undercabinet TV work only on an intermittent basis. I am unable to start at the 2nd or 3rd title of a DVD. Have not yet been able to make the ''Go to'' + ''number keypad''...

My new TV/DVD doesn't work. I went to the indicated GPX website for help, and all I get is a solicitation for a subscription assistance plan. Beautiful: misdirection, subterfuge and confusion. Smoke and mirrors. The new American way.
