Question about Moultrie Cameras
I've tried everything I can think of, resetting, going over menu set by step, but this is a new model and the setting are different for my other cameras so I'm just not sure if I'm missing something in the setup menu.

Posts: 1 First of all, ONLY USE THE STANDARD SPEED SD CARD THAT MOULTRIE ADVISES.
Second, DO NOT TAKE THE CARD OUT & USE A READER WHILE LEAVING THE CAMERA MOUNTED (this will lock up the camera).
Third when using a brand new standard speed sd card, DO NOT FORMAT THE SD CARD IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE CAMERA.
One could clear the camera by reseating the battery (take the battery out & put it back in). The reset button (up inside) is not always necessary for this.
You probably got a different speed card to somehow work & the camera malfunctioned. Bear in mind the aforementioned advice.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I'm using SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SDHC Cards. I will try what you listed. I think you hit it with the formatting the SD Card with the Camera because I did notice a few Cards are already set up with what I named a couple Cameras and those Cards will not work in other Cameras but then the two problem cameras will work fine sometimes and I bet it's when I place those Cards in. I need to go set up SD Card per Camera by Formatting each to each Camera. I'll let you know how it works. Thank for you help!"
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The only thing I can recommend is using the brands of memory cards that Casio recommends. They are Panasonic, San Disc, Toshiba. Make sure the card is formatted with the camera before use.

SOURCE: Pictures won't record on SD card
maybe you are saving pictures to your camera internal memory,if so try to change it in settings for SD card,or it could be that your camera does not accept the type of sd you are using, try any other card and see

SD cards have become the industry standard....but beware...there are SD cards NOT backward compatible...i.e.,some cams won't take 2GB or larger; then there is SDHC; SDHC(HD); RUNS FROM 512G thru 32GB HC/HD; ECT...check your cams manual for SD card compatibility.

Not really sure on this, but if where he bought cam will take it back, try it...
However, it may not be the cam, but different resolution settings on the two different cams. Digital cams by different manufacturers format SD cards using different means; some allow more memory space on card for formatting than others..and if the game cam is set at a higher resolution than the other cam, then the 2nd cam might use space 1st cam left avail.i.e., say cam "sets aside 4mb of memory to format card, but only uses 2mb of this space. Now, the game cam is set for high resolution and take 130 pics @ 15mb each..15x130=1950mb,+ 2mb left by game cam=1952mb(1.952gb), or about 50mb of space left on card...put it into cam set for lower res. and might get several more pics before card was really full...be sure all is equal...both cams, and card, ect. 128-130 pics @ high resolution ain't bad....on a 4gb SDHC card with my I-40's set for High Res., I can get 1000 pics;@ enhanced and I get only about 300. Set at low res., and # goes way up.Hope you understand all this.
