My LG Optimus F3 4G. I recorded a video last night on my camera and played back with no issue but now when attempting to play I am getting an error message stating the file format is unsupported. How could that happen when I recorded it with the device cam and more importantly how can I get the video to play?

Hi
This is a phone rather than a camera, but the issue could be the same. Videos and Photos are usually saved to the SD card that can be removed and there may be options that you can try.
First. Turn off the phone power, wait a couple of minutes, remove the SD card, and re-insert after 10 secs or so. Turn the phone back on and see if the card is recognised. If so you should be able to get to your video.
Second. When you have taken your card out of the phone, use a card reader connected to your computer, and use File Explorer (Win 7) or Windows Explorer ( WinXP) to view the content of the SD card. It will show up as a removable drive. If it doesn't show up the card itself may have failed.
Third. Most phone manufacturers have software and cables to connect phones directly via USB to a computer. The software is usually downloadable, and the cables are getting more standard (Normal computer USB to micro USB for the phone end). Again the SD card contents and the phone contents should be accessible from the PC.
If these all fail, it is likely that your card has become faulty. You can try reformatting it whilst it is attached to the computer but of course this will lose all your data unless it s backed up.
I would always recommend getting the latest software for your phone from the manufacturer, as it normally gives you synchronisation options for contacts, diaries etc, backup options for your phones entire contents, and a means (usually easy) of transferring data, music, pictures, videos etc etc from phone to PC and vice versa.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

Sony HDR-xr 150 is showing data error whenever I play back the recorded videos

Connect the camera with pc and try to check for error with any program like tune up or other online utilities... or if you have data card in it and you can open it in PC than simply copy your recorded videos so that you have a backup first. than you can freely show camera to any service center..

The thing is that I bought a lg lb190a and its say it records videos in mp4 well thats alright the thing is that i downloaded a video in mp4 and it wont reproduce on my cell phone it only reproduces...

I believe that it won't play mp4's that have been copyrighted. Maybe this is the problem. I'm not sure, though. It makes sense that it will only play videos recorded through its own camera, which has no copyright issues.

Sony DCR-TRV460 not playing back, blue screen

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if a blue screen is displayed when attempting to playback video from the camcorder.
  1. Stop the tape.
  2. Ensure the tape has been rewound to the beginning of the video recording.
  3. Play the tape.
  4. If the issue is not resolved, stop the tape and remove it from the camcorder.
  5. Clean the video heads of the camcorder using a dry head cleaning cassette.IMPORTANT: Follow the instructions for use provided with the head cleaning cassette. It may be necessary to use the head cleaning cassette more than once per session.
  6. Reinsert the tape into the camcorder.
  7. Play the tape.
  8. If the issue is not resolved, stop the tape and remove it from the camcorder.
  9. Insert a different tape with video footage into the camcorder.
  10. Ensure the tape has been rewound to the beginning of the video recording.
  11. Play the tape.
NOTES:
  • If a blue screen is still displayed, then the camcorder may require service .
  • If the tape plays back correctly, then the first tape may be faulty or there is a problem with the video recording.

Will not play back

Usually if there is no impact injury involved or nagging intermittent past problems, you probably have a head cleaning issue. Try a dry type (reccomended) cleaning tape. Should be able to purchase at Best Buy or similar store. Good luck, magic seadog

Playback difficulties

Not specific enough but I would run a head cleaner thru it for 10 seconds and see if that improves things and always use the same brand of tape to prevent gum issues.
