Question about Samsung Galaxy S II
I've been with customer service since last Wed., (this is Sat), they helped with other issues....but, not this
Go to your local cell phone "hacker" store owned by a skilled professional. This will get you much better help than going to the electronics dunce behind the desk or phone line at wallmart. It might cost you a little, but support your little guy that knows what he's doing.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If you want to try a simple solution, Go to Settings, Wireless and Networks, then Turn on "Airplane Mode" wait until you see an airplane on the top status bar of your phone... then Turn OFF "Airplane mode"
If that doesn't work, and you want to reset your phone, take it to the place you bought it or any place that is on your carrier.

Jailbreaking in IOS is rooting in Android. You root the Precedent (gain access to the root login) by using rtto at http://codegeekbbs.com/samsung.php Just follow the directions you'll find in the file. Just read the Readme.txt file.
Unlocking is making the phone run on other carriers' towers - and you can't do that with a CDMA phone without pretty much rebuilding the phone. (CDMA phones don't have SIM cards, only GSM phones do - the technology is different.)
