Question about Ricoh Aficio SP C410DN Laser Printer
I have a printer that has only 15064 total pages printed. It is not communicating with my computer (Data In is not lighting up). This is my 4th of this printer and if I plug in the exact ip address of my other and plug it in to use it still does not work. Is this a motherboard issue? Can I take the motherboard out of one of my other printers that still work but have basically worn out (over 350,000 copies)? Where do I find the info that will guide me through switching it?
Delete it from the device manager and shut down PC . It should " re- discover the device and may solve your problem

Testimonial: "Nope - did not work. However, I was able to take the control board from one of my old ones and plug it in to make it work great. The bad thing is that the new printer now has the "counts" and info from the old worn out printer. Not a problem now but it will be once the printer wants new supplies (PCU, etc.) installed because the counts tell it the time is up for the consumables. Any idea how to work around this?"
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Go to user tools counter. Go to settings. Go to interface. You should see the IP address settings window. Some Ricohs have auto DHCP. Usually I turn that on to get it to recognize your router. Make sure your gateway address is inserted as well.

SOURCE: Can't print to network printer
type ping (the printer's ip address )
This will let you know if the network can talk to it.
make sure DCHP is turned off at the printer

SOURCE: Ricoh Adicio on a mac
You'll need to download and Install the "PPD" installer for your Mac OSx here, if you haven't already done so:
..... then (assuming that your Copier doesn't have Postscript installed - most don't) browse for the printer, but be sure to select the driver version that points to "pxl", and not a "ps", or "pcl" driver. "PXL" is the only language that will work with Mac if postscript is not installed on the machine.
Good Luck. Please rate me.
