Question about Computers & Internet
Model # SE32HY27-0 i followed all instructions in the menu set up guide and in the owners manual it works when wired directly to the modem but will not connect through the router
Clear the arp cache in the router and TV. Use the automatic setup function on the TV (if available) and set the router to accept incoming requests.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Actually in short "you NEED A MODEM;"
In order to connect your router you need to connect a modem in "bridge mode'( bridge mode is nothing but a configuration on the modem)..
this is a picture of rear side of a router,,, you have to connect the modem into the wan port of the router (above),, and in port number 1,2,3,4 you can connect your computers,

Sounds like you need to 'copy' the mac address of the computer it was orginally hooked to before and put it into the router. Some routers have an option to do this in the settings menu of the router with one click.

Have your router clone the MAC Address of your computer. The MAC address is a hardware address on your network card and DSL providers seem to like to bind it to account. What is probably happening is when the router connects to your ISP and asks for an IP address, it looks up your account info and and decides - nope, wrong device. Cloning the MAC address will make them happy. If you are not able to clone the address, call your provider's tech support and ask them to clear the MAC address from your account. Make sure you have the router plugged into the modem and not the computer or you are back to where you started.

It is possible that the router actually got reset in the process.
Dlink setup is 192.168.1.100 I believe. It should say in the manual. If you do go through the setup wizard and it still won't connect, then the power outage may have affected either the firmware or the hardware.

but if you are talking about flashes on the t.v then it is due to sparking is taking place in your plug & socket.
if it is ok then there is a sparking in high voltage section in tv which is called fly back section.
