Question about Kohler Home
I took out & reinstalled the balancer (GP522520) & mixer cap GP77886) several times. All seals are in tact. The mixer cap did pop open & I had to reposition the springs inside the cap
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: refridgerator door
a lot of the sub-zero doors are good and heavy duty, but the plastic shim under the hinge wears and can drag when you go to close door, usually a simply repair to find a washer for the door hinge.

ever since the pressure balancing regulations came out for shower valves, they have went from simple to very complicated devices. sounds as if some foreign material caused the valve to stop working. that valve is quit difficult to reassemble correctly because there is only one way it works and can be assemmbled many ways that do not work concerning alignment of the ports. if you dissassemble it and check that all the moving parts are functioning in the balancing cartridge you can then look closely at the alignment of the ports on the cartridge that the handle is connected to. understanding how the port align as the handle is turned should assist you in assembling it correctly......hope this helps.

The problem seems to be the loosening of the screws that hold the interior stainless steel skin to the door frame--not the latch.
With the door in the open position you should find a total of twelve screws (5 on each side and 2 on top at each side of the latch). The screws have a particular type of head which may require a trip to the hardware (its a $1,000 dishwasher take the time to get the right screwdriver). They are called TORX screws the size on my dishwasher was a T 15. These type of screw heads were designed to fit automated torque drivers at the factory that set the screws to the proper tension. So some care should be given when you retighten them. Turn until the screw is snug and there no movement of the inner door skin but don't over tighten. Giving it that extra 1/4 turn can be enough to strip the screw out and create a bigger problem.
Yes--you shouldn't have to be doing this to a KitchenAid appliance that cost this much--but I suspect that this will become a feature of periodic maintenance. The heating and cooling generates enough movement that overtime these screws work themselves out. My wife who was the once to make the right diagnosis noticed that the screws at the bottom were almost entirely out.

On the front of the cartridge there is a sight tube for the ink, the fax shines a light through this tube to detect the ink.
I wraped a piece of paper around the tube to block the light beam on all the cartridges.
I dont need a processer to tell me if the machine is out of ink, I can work thay out when it stops printing!!
Now tell me you are out of ink you peice of electronic ****.

I've been struggling with this exact error for the past week and fixed it last night. The Error 5 message was misleading in my case and actually was caused by the steam outlet inside the shower and, even after replacing the entire unit and getting the same error, i fixed it in two seconds. Since this was one of the posting i encountered during my frantic searches, i thought i would come back and share my blog posting on this error and my fix:
