Question about Curtis Televison & Video
The screen has a perfect picture but my sound stopped working last night. I have had the cable company reset the cable TV, changed the batteries
Check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Help...How can I talk to a person ..2 year old Protron 32" LCD went out last night /nothing was touched...no pick or sound..it's like their is no elcetricity going through..no lights on. Could it be the DC adapter? the blue light is not on the adapter(is it to stay on?) It goes on when I first plug it in then goes off.

Ok you have sound and no picture. This denotes that since this is a plasma TV the circuitry that controls the activation of the screen may have become defective. You will need the schematic to show the voltage levels that need to be present on the cable that connects between the screen and the control circuit and a voltmeter to measure those voltages. I would suggest that you get a qualified TV technician to work on this problem, due to the technical nature of this issue.
I hope this helps,

With no video and the the colored stripes, it sounds like the LVDS cable needs to be reconnected to the LCD control board or the control board itself is bad. If the unit is only 3-4 months old, it should be covered by warranty

1.This issue sounds as though the TV connection circuit has an issue.
2. You have changed the DVR and the HDMI cables and you still have an issue with the video (pink screen) indicates a video circuit issue ( improper voltage or current) at the video section of the circuit.
3. This will require some troubleshooting by a qualified tech.
4. To make sure, try connecting another properly working LCD TV to the cable box or DVR an check. If you get a picture and sound properly it is the TV.
5. Usually a cable box is QA'd (quality assured) by the company and will not be sent unless tested 1st
