Question about Cameras

I need replacement doors for the jdc77. do you have any suggestions?

I bought these because I can make them work, but I would like to have battery covers. They look odd with tape and foil.

Buy a new one on Walmart for 27 dollar. Bringing it in the a workshop, or ordering parts will cost more to ship them.
You need the cover on the camera to be closed, or the camera won't work correct.

SOURCE: battery cover

I've taken out the screws and the front and back still don't come apart. It appears as though there are screws under the cover of the hot shoe, but they appear to be screwed in from the bottom of the flash shoe. any suggestions

How to insert batteries for new Jazz JDC77: _, +, and the end one???

They are almost always opposite. When inserting them into the unit, The first goes in with the pos or neg end in (whichever applies) the second will be the opposite to the first, and the third will be opposite of the second, etc. If you put them in wrong it won't hurt anything, (unless you leave them like that for a long time) it just won't work.

Rebel T2i won't power on

I had this problem and thank you to the gent that suggested there was a battery compartment closing detection mechanism. I have a battery grip and had removed that to register my t2i (needed the serial number on the bottom) and never checked operation after replacing. I toyed with the lever using a pen and noticed the red light flicker. I replaced the battery grip with batteries and all is well.
Sometimes we need a nudge to dig deeper... I had looked at the possibility of a door closed switch much the same as the the switch on the sd card door. I took a second look and found it. Thanks a million for jogging my analytical brain!

Wont turn on unless you take battery out and put it back in.

I hate even suggesting this but, I ran into the same problem with a Canon Elan IIe film camera. The Canon batteries were getting expensive so i bought off brand at the local Costco store. Same battery same voltage but 1/4 the price. What I did to fix the problem was put a single small strip of masking tape on the bottom of the battery closed the battery compartment door and everything worked as it should until I need to replace the battery again.
