Question about Singer Sewing Machines
Singer 7444. The bobbin thread not engaged at all
It sounds like the timing belt has jumped. You will need to take it in to a sewing machine repair shop as there is no info available to reset the timing.

It sounds like you don't have any tension on the thread when winding the bobbin. Make sure that you are running the thread through the tension disc on the top of the machine before going to the bobbin winder.

SOURCE: Bobbin thread won't pick up
try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
if these suggestions don't help the it's possible that the machine is out of time & needs to be serviced
