It sounds like the timing belt has jumped. You will need to take it in to a sewing machine repair shop as there is no info available to reset the timing.

SOURCE: Singer 7444 trouble winding bobbin

It sounds like you don't have any tension on the thread when winding the bobbin. Make sure that you are running the thread through the tension disc on the top of the machine before going to the bobbin winder.

Cant pick up thread from bobbin

Check your needle to see if it's damaged
Check the bobbin to see if it's warped
Check the bobbin to see if it's inserted in the bobbin case correctly
Check the bobbin case to see if it's inserted properly in the machine
Make sure there's no lint or loose thread in the bobbin area
If these suggestions don't work then it could be the timing is off just a little & it needs to be serviced

Machine locked up and makes a beeping sound it is a Singer 7444 the hand wheel is frozen

There may be thread caught in the bobbin area.

Turn off the power and check the manual for maintenance.

Once the area is clean and the bobbin case back in place, turn the machine back on.

If this does not resolve the issue, the machine will need an authorized sewing machine tech to repair it.

Wont pick up bobbin thread

Are you certain that the needle is in correctly? If it opens at the front the flat side of the needle should be facing the back. If it opens on the left hand side then the flat part of the needle should be facing into the body of the machine. If top and bottom are threaded correctly and the needle is in properly and fully in position it should pick up. If it doesnt then you "could" have a timing fault.

Hi I am pretty sure that the bobbin and the thread are in correctly but when I put the material in the needle just put holes in the material. what am I doing wrong?

you may have adjusted the upper tension and made it so tight that the thread just pulls out of the needle and needle makes holes in fabric. you might want to check the feed of the bobbin, it will not allow the machine to sew if it is not able to be picked up by the needle. the bobbin thread is usually (when held in your hand) with the thread coming counter clock wise. and then it will lay in the bobbin holder and the end of the thread will come back to about the slide catch thing and be held there until the needle thread catches it (leave the cover off the bobbin area until you watch and see what happens then. Try adjusting the bobbing tension too hope you understand what I mean here.
