get multiple advice from different technicians... changing motherboard
in a laptop is not cost effective. check your warranty and send it back
do this first... disconnect all power source --take out the battery from your laptop, disconnect the power cable... leave it for 5 minutes or longer and reconnect the power source and turn on the laptop. "if this works, don't go back to that technician that says change the motherboard"
if this doesn't work and and you get the same recommendation to change the motherboard from other technician... it is more cost effective to get a new laptop. if you replace the motherboard, you will have to pay the shipping, service and the parts = new laptop (new warranty)

Defective CCFL backlight may has the following symptom:
has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to the laptop and power it up, if you see a clear image on an external monitor, this means your video card is OK.
If you see a dim image or flicking image on the LCD screen it means you have a backlight problem.
Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

seen your problem.
try these following steps.
1. install the Graphic and display drivers again.
2.restart your system and check if it is fixed.
3.if not call the customer care and they will replace your display if it is under warranty.
if you find the solution helpfull rate me carefully.
