How do you teach 3 to 4 years old children spelling?

Generally speaking spelling is not taught to three and four year old's. Children have to start with the basics. The start of learning how to spell is learning the alphabet. Believe it or not there are three year old's and even some four year old's who do not know the alphabet.

To teach preschoolers the alphabet, you generally focus on one letter at a time and have the child complete a tracing sheet where they learn to write the letters by copying the outline of the letters. Other ways to teach the alphabet are reciting the alphabet song, ready a book about the alphabet, or making each day represent a letter of the alphabet and teaching subjects, reading books, eating snacks, and making crafts that start with that letter of the alphabet.

The first word a child should learn to spell is his/her own name. A child can learn to spell as they are learning to read, but it does not do much good to teach spelling to a child who cannot start to recognize words, and understand that words are formed when you put letters together.

The focus for three and four year old's should be on learning new words, not on learning how to spell. Three and four year old's generally do not know how to read or spell. These are things that are taught beginning with pre-kindergarten and into kindergarten. You need to teach a child as many words as possible before you teach them to spell.

Once a child knows the alphabet you have to teach them the sound that each letter makes. If a child doesn't recognize the sounds that letters make, they won't be able to spell. This is all part of the pattern in learning to read, spell, and write. When it comes time for spelling, you can have giant cards with each letter on them and put them on the floor. Say something like "Josh find me the letter that makes the "mmm" sound, and wait for Josh to bring the correct letter card to you. Then ask the next child to bring you the letter that makes the "a" sound. Then ask the final child to bring you the letter that makes the "p" sound. Then sound out the words with the child.

Focus more on learning new words, learning to trace and write letters, and learning to write a child's name than on spelling at this age. They are more likely to retain the skills of spelling and reading as they get older.

Words that preschoolers should know:
Basic opposites: Up/Down; Happy/Sad; Hot/Cold; On/Off; Yes/No
Primary colors: Yellow; Red; Blue + Black and White
Days of the week
Months of the year
People in their family: Mom; Dad; Brother; Sister; Grandma; Grandpa; Aunt; Uncle; Baby; Me
Common animals: Dog; Cat; Elephant; Lion; Tiger; Bear; Giraffe
Major holidays: Christmas; Birthday; Easter; Halloween
Single letter words: I and A
Joining words: And; By; and The

Thankyou for your assistance, but I have managed to resolve the problem. I am unable to place my wifi password in to the phone at this moment in time due to it's length. the phone keeps timing out before I...

Shorten your password and use numbers, letters, caps and symbols to strengthen security. You can spell words replacing vowels with numbers and add a symbol at the end. Minimum length should be 8 characters.

Good luck,

I dont understand how to create a password can u help me

1-Creating a password is simple...creating one that is memorable AND strong is not so simple. First, think of a word that describes you. Example: I'm funny. Word: funny

2-Next, think of something you like. This could be your favorite day of the week, a color, a time of year, a movie, a band...etc. Just make sure it's something you know how to spell. Example: Black or Friday
3-try a number, may be your date of birth, house number, Id no etc. Example- 1990

4-Finally, find a way to string them together with numbers and other letters. Example: funnyblack1990 or funnyblackfriday

5-You can make the password even stronger by adding uppercase and lowercase letters: Example : FunnYBlacK1990

Note:To mix it up one more time (and really confuse the infiltrators,) try using a letter that sounds like the way yours is spelled: Example: FunyBlck90
Hope this will help. Thank you for using fixya !!!

How do I change the Name of the person at an extension on the Panasonic KX T7431

press the Program Button, then (**1234), and scroll counter-clockwise through the options with the volume circle. the option should say, "004 ext name set." to enter into that option to change, press the sp-phone button. continue pressing the sp-phone button until you find the extension number you would like to change. once you find it, press the transfer button and spell the designated name using the dial pad. For example, Mike (press 6 and use the volume circle to browse the letter you need from that assigned key- to get M) to continue spelling the name, continue using the dial pad and repeat to assign the designated letter. to store the name, press the "Auto Dial/Store" button and it will beep to confirm.

How is a space made when entering street names for directions?

When you want to spell a name, you will be presented with what looks like a QWERTY keyboard. The space key is in the lower right corner, to the right of the letter M. By default, the first letter of each word will be capitalized, but this doesn't matter for your street name search. If you need punctuation, touch the &?% button to change modes.

Why does it not automatically do a spell check on

It is not automatic because of the fact that there are sum words which are not in dictionaries, like names, objects etc..

so after writing the whole letter juss a single click wuld chk the spellings and you can correct ones you want correction with.

You can also use a third party spelling checker for automatic check of all the text written by you.
