Question about Proscan 50" FHD 1080p Roku Ready Black LED HDTV - PLDED5030A-C-RK
It is on stand by. When you turn your TV on diagnostic circuits send a low voltage low frequency signal to check all components. If it doesn't get the proper signal back then it goes into standby or protection mode. It will now power up, it does this to protech any damage from a faulty board or component it has found. Most of the time it is the power board but not all the tme. Other things can shut it down also. If you are so inclined take the back and look at the power board. It will have a lot of what looks like cans (capacitors). If any of the are spewed up or raised up on the top then you are lucky.. Capicators are a cheap easy fix, if not caps then I would just to have the set in my shop to detrermine the cause. sorry I couldn't be of more help.

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..
Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..
1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter
