Question about Bush Televison & Video

1 Answer

Re Bush digital tv recorder BU102ZRH50 OR 127/8037. Sometimes it records, and sometimes it doesn't. It always accepts the "record" command, then shows the programme as scheduled in the library. But on

Parental control is off. Settings are default. Have tried switching off and on again.

SOURCE: vcr won't record tv

Connect the antenna to the antenna In on the VCR and tune the channels with the VCR. Leave the 3 colored cord connected the way it is. Once you are able to tune the stations with your VCR, try to record.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: Connecting up Digital TV, DVD recorder and VCR

If I may offer an unconventional solution in addition to the initial post...
Connect all TV, VCR and DVD Recorder as to any way you want to connect them or as otacon have posted.

However, from your cable input from your provider, use a 3-way splitter. Connect the 3 outputs to the individual ANT INput of each of the 3 units (assuming all 3 have Cable/ANT INputs).

With this method all 3 can receive TV signals, both the VCR and DVD-R can record (even simultaneously) and you can switch watching one program on the TV, while recording another program in either the VCR or DVD-R or both.

SOURCE: Connect

Does your set have compatible connectors on the rear of it? Did you read the instruction manuals that came with the new equipment? Did you ask your dealer???

You can ONLY record to the INTERNAL drive, there is NO facility to do as you wish. You could of course, using a TV/Video capture card, and suitable DVR software, and a PC, and IF your TV has a "Monitor Out" Composite Video Yellow, & Audio, Red & White. then you could stream the Video & Audio, to the TV/Video capture cards Inputs, and save, as a Video Format to the Hard drive IN the PC, or to an External drive, or whatever you wanted to. That's the only way I know of doing what you want.

Panasonic DVD recorder dmr-ez485v displays "cannot record" on TV screen and shows code C744 on the it broken? Was recording fine yesterday...will appreciate any advice

Depending on your location, some pay TV programs may not be recordable. First make sure you are recording a free program. If problem remains, disconnect the unit from the power (wall) outlet for a minute. Digital recorders are quirky - sometimes I have had to insert a disk 3 to 5 times before it is recognized by the recorder.

Makes no sense but if it can be used as a recorder why worry about it. My Panasonic spinned the disc at will for a minute and went back to sleep again.

Have just retuned digital terrestrial receiver Matsui DTR -2 for our area, how do I now record tv programmes with my Bush VCR925NSILXI? On analogue TV the recording channel was Channel 9

Recording, amazingly, has nothing to do with your TV, it only monitors the playback or recording input of your VCR or DVD recorder - the Channel 9 you mention.
They have their own tuners, indeed DVD recorders have Freeview (or DTV) tuners so no need for a separate box at all - given that your TV has a DTV tuner too and if a recent flat screen type it will.
If you can afford it, this is a good time to drop VHS and get a DVD recorder. You'll find plenty on Amazon Electronics for a start.
Your Bush VCR will be redundant the moment the analogue service goes off, they haven't made a VHS VCR with a DTV tuner.
Depending on your area this is a few months off, even for the last area to change over anyway, here in London there's just shy of nine months left.

G'day, I have an LG HDD/DVD recorder (model RH298H) connected to an LG plasma screen digital TV via an HDMI cable. On the TV I have crystal clear digital television (and able to tune all the digital TV...

You have probably found out now that you would need to get your digital reception by connecting a set top box to the LG, say to AV1, then select AV1 when making a recording.

Reciever Not Recording

Turn off the receiver, unplug the receiver, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and go through the setup again. This hard restart clears the memory and restarts the DVR software(clears any software glitches) This should fix this problem assuming that your satellite signal is good. Check that during the resetup. Most transponders will show between 70 to 100 signal strength. (Minimum is 70 for error free reception) Several transponders will show 0 as they are dead on the satellite, and not a receiver problem) If your satellite signal is in the 70's or less, you either live in Maine or you may need to realign the dish or something is blocking the signal like a tree or bush growing that is partially blocking the signal causing the signal to drop out(partial recordings)
