There is a module on the passenger side behind the rear wheel mounted to the body. It goes bad. On the drivers side is where the grounds are located, on or close to the frame. Check these first.
I would check the air gap on the drive to driven plate of the ac compressor clutch, it should be no more than 0.30 thousanths of an inch, if it is excessive you can have this problem, check it with a hot engine, if it is excessive you can adjust it with a special shim kit from the dealer.
I had a similar problem with my 2007 Town and Country. It would start to open and stop but then nothing. There is a plastic linkage track that houses some wires and one of the black wires was broken about 5 links from the door. After I repaired it everything worked fine.
