Question about Sony Televison & Video
The TV turns on and produces a picture. It has lost, or can no longer decode/tune/receive digital signal from the aerial and it no longer outputs sound from its internal speakers or headphone socket. It displays images from the my Sky box and HDD/DVD recorder/player. The volume is turned up, it is not on mute. I have gone through the menu options and tried a factory reset. I had noticed it occasionally flashed red several times upon start up but did not notice it when I turned it on and discovered the problem today.
Check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

The problem is that the modulator output frequency of your sky box is exactly the same as for example chanel 5 on your terestrial aerial.
You need to change this number to a different one thats clear of local terestrial transmissions
1) Select the Services button on your Sky or Sky+ remote control.
2) Type in 401 [select] on your key pad and you will get to the installer menu. You cant gain access to this via the drop down menu as it is designed for the Sky Engineer to use.
Select Option 4 to configure the RF outlets on your Sky Digibox.
4) The option RF Chanel Number change this number from example 35 to 60 .
You may need to do this using other numbers 26 34 55 etc
Every time you alter the number store it then try & tune TV to sky.
Any other sets in the house connected by RF leads will require retuning for sky.
Save new settings and you should find that your RF outlet to TV works fine.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a Sony Bravia
am having same issue, and this is what I have learned, so far: Apparently, some of the earlier Bravias (mine is a 2006) has an issue with the F1 and F2 fuses on the Digital Tuner card. I decided to bite the bullet and open up the tv. The back came off fairly easily, and the card is in plain view. I believe it to be the same card that the coaxial connects to. There are two data connectors, top and bottom. after you free the card by undoing the screws, you will want to disconnect the bottom first by simply depressing the center of the connector and gently tugging to disconnect. The top data ribbon is a bit strange... the top of the connector rocks to one side, and the ribbon simply falls out. My card is part number A1164341A and is used on several of the tvs. I found it on Ebay for 10 bucks, inspected and tested. I just bought the card, so I don't know for sure that this is the problem, but I am fairly confident from what i have found out from researching the problem
