Question about Samsung Refrigerators
To disconnect and recnect
Did you check the door gasket see if it is gunked up, wet, or air is leaking on that side? Have you felt around the door see if cold air escape? If air is escape means you will get icing or frost.

Make sure your manual doesn't say something about inline filters, or a float that might be sticking in off position. Depending on how ice is made sometimes they have a float to where water rises so hight then gets shut off to freeze and form the ice.

Possibly freezer drain blocked causing ice build-up behind back freezer wall. This internal wall should be accessible by removing screws.Check fan motor in that area is working and also check that all door seals have no cracks or tears. This can cause ice build-up and motor to run longer than normally. benham's suggestion another possibility.Naturally have power off when dismantling anything.

SOURCE: Problems with Whirlpool 25.6 cu.
Use a screw driver to pry up at the two notches at the bottom of the panel. I thought that might work, but had been afraid if I did I would break the panel.
