This is so silly, but my dog is petrified of the dinging sound my Maytag Intellidry dryer makes when the clothes are about dry. It will ding about 4 times before actually turning off, about one minute apart. I don't have the manual, but need to know if there's a way to keep this dryer silent!
So far as I know, nobody has designed anything into these things to shut them off. Usually, they're located in the instrument panel area. Take off the back cover. Short cycle the machine, locate it and, with the power off, cut the wire. You can extend the wires and fit an ordinary light switch to them to turn the feature back on. Mount the switch in a plastic electrical box and fasten it to the unit or the wall.

I would also like to be able to turn off the buzzer on my Maytag dryer, I found the owners manual on-line and it doesn't say anything about how to shut it off.
I can't dry clothes when the baby is sleeping because the dang buzzer will wake her up! I haven't been able to find any help for this issue.
About a month ago I did unscrew the back panel and cut the bell off. It works great now and my dog isn't scared. Try it. It isn't complicated.
