It is part of your transceiver. If you want to open it and modify it expect a visit from the FCC, it is illegal to modify or repair a cb transmitter without a licence. The costs can eaisly exceed $10,000.00 if cauaght.

I have a icom 2200h and i can hear everybody talk but as soon as i key the mike up the radio says off

Power to the radio is bad. The radio may stay on and receive, but it does not have enough amperage to transmit. Transmit really gives a workout when you want the radio to transmit. It is equal to starting a car:
lots of power is required to power the transmitter. So bad power supply or connection in your vehicle, bad wiring or undersized wiring. There are more ways to troubleshoot, but this covers 95%. If all connections are good, then it is programming.

One radio transmits the other does not

Connect a small 12volt lamp across the antenna output socket.
if the lamp glows when the transmit button is pushed the problem is in the aerial.
If the lamp does not glow the output transistor in the cb radio is blown and requires replacement by qualified person ..

Repair northstar marine radio

It could be a self-protection circuit activating.

Radios that transmit require a matched antenna for the frequency of operation. A bad coax line from the radio to the antenna or a faulty antenna that would otherwise destroy the radio may trigger a protection circuit inside the radio to prevent damage. Check the coax, and have someone test your antenna with an SWR meter or directional coupler. Good luck

Zartek 705 and 708 2 way radios

The 705 will operate on (8) frequencies in the 446Mhz range and (5) in the 464Mhz range. The 708 operates on 446Mhz. Please note that the links provided mention they operate in "public frequency band" of South Africa. These radios were not intended to be used in other countries. See below for more.

In the U.S.(and many, many other countries), the 420Mhz - 450Mhz frequency range is set aside by the FCC (and other bodies) for licensed operation by amateur radio operators. Portions of the 460Mhz range is set aside by the FCC for use by Public Safety Agencies - mostly local police and fire departments. In the U.S., the Family Radio Service (FRS is 462Mhz) is an unlicensed band and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS is 467 Mhz) requires a licensed.

As you might have guessed, unlicensed or unauthorized transmissions are ILLEGAL. You may be fined, imprisoned or both if caught by the FCC. If using these radios in a location other than South Africa, consult that county's communication authority BEFORE transmitting. You cannot transmit legally in the U.S. with these radios.

Motorola spectra ta9fw+078w will not transmit

There are a variety of reasons for your Spectra to fail to transmit. A few items to check would be:
1) Power to the radio. If enough power is not present, transmit is the first thing to usually fail.
2) Check your hand mic. This is a common failure part on a mobile radio.
3) Check your antenna and connections. Coax ages over time, and is not forgiving of creases or bends. Also, if your antenna stinger has become loose over time, it will effect your transmit.

Beyond the above mentioned items, most anything further would require repair of the component board of the radio.

Best regards.

I need the frequencies for this radio

Here's a list: Frequency Chart

Keep in mind - only those frequencies in "D" can be transmitted on in the US. These are the Citizen's Band (or C.B.) Radio frequencies. The others are above and below the FCC allotted range for CB. Transmitting on these other frequencies requires an FCC issued license.

You can face fines, imprisonment or both if caught transmitting without the proper license.

Do i need ariel for cobra MR F55 EU radio

? I assume you are asking if you need an ariel antenna for this radio in order to receive and transmit? if that is the case then yes you do, Any radio requires a matched antenna in order to transmit, if you were to transmit without an antenna, most of the RF energy will transfer back into the radio and over heat "burn out" the output transistors. always make sure to have a proper antenna connected before transmitting on any radio.

To RESET all programs Frequencies on my IC-H16 portable radio.

You can download and review the manual for the Icom IC-H16/U16/U2 HT here. This radio is an Amateur Radio Service transceiver, and will require an FCC license to transmit. No license is required to monitor or listen to the radio. Keep in mind, the Amateur Radio Service is NOT part of "CB" or "FRS" radio services - neither of which require a license to transmit.

When you read the manual, you'll quickly see that there is no "reset" function available. There are only 16 memory locations, so you can simply lock out channels you no longer wish to monitor or you may program any valid frequency in the range supported by the radio. Doing this, in combination with setting the squelch or tone will prevent the radio from opening a particular frequency(s) when the corresponding memory location is scanned.

I hope this helps and good luck.
