Instead of trying to repair it yourself, you might try calling a plumber. They are trained in repairing leaks and could probably do a more efficient job. This way you can have it done with a reassurance that the leak is fixed for good. https://www.ezflowplumber.com/leak-prevention-n-slab-leaks

It sounds like the tank is leaking. Without the information as to where the leak is the only answer I can suggest is to replace it.

When switching on my geyser, the electricity trips. What could be wrong?

Hi, I suppose that you talk about an electric geyser.
It is important to know if tripping is the result of a shortcut or via the earth leakage switch.
In the fist case, often insulation is somewhere gone.
But more likely is the second possibility.
then there can be somewhere a little leak in the water circuit and condensation goes on the wires and they become conductive to small currents, specialy to the earth wire.

If breaker trips check

- elements being to high in ohms resistance (worn out)
- shorted elements

Had burst pipe, used geyser water to bath kid. Water supply now restored but geyser switch in box keeps on tripping... Help!

Use hair dryer and see if you can dry out parts.
Often, when electronics get wet, they cannot be repaired... like dropping cell phone in bucket of water.

What is an anode in a geyser

The anode rod is part of water heater, not part of geyser:
Here are anode rod resources:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Replace-anode-rod.html

The geyser is compressor that attaches to top of water heater, and converts ambient room temperature into heat to heat water using the refrigeration cycle in reverse
Add a comment and fixya might notify me so i can more informeation if needed
