Question about Car Audio & Video
I purchased one of these off Ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Audio-MP3-Interface-AUX-Adapter-For-iPod-iPhone-to-Mazda-2-3-Permacy-MPV-AUX-/311149815518?ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:AU:1123 . After installing the unit using the CD changer input at the back of the factory stereo, the ipod and AUX work great. However, my CD IN has stopped working. CD's can still eject, but when I put them into the player, the interface is mostly blank - it shows no tracks and does not play the CD.
You have to change it from the Aux setting to CD when you want to play cd, some cd players switch to aux. automatically when you plug inthe aux. cable. and may have to be unplugged when playing cd.

Actually, what I think gbaity is doing is utilizing his IP(Interactive Pioneer)-Bus port in the back of the DEH-P3000, which is an input port designed to allow the deck to use an external multi-disk CD changer. All you need is the CD changer, then change the input source from your deck to "M-CD". There are folks on eBay and other places that sell a cable that pluggs into that very same port. They are designed to allow the unit to accept input through the IP-Bus from an ipod or just about any low-level input that you can pass through the RCA jacks. I have the same deck, and also just purchased an ipod cable for the IP-Bus, and it also does not work. I have been told that I need to switch the "M-CD" input source to "AUX" as the input, but I do not know how to do that. pressing the input source button only displays "CD", "M-CD", and "FM/AM". Does anyone know how to add "AUX" to the choices or otherwise show us how to make these cables work? Thanks - TomR

solution to ipod problem some ipods do not work in directly with after market sterios some do now a good solution is to go to your local radio shack buy the rca jack one end proper male femal connectors on one end then head phone jack on the other this will play anything its just like the old days when you had to buy that clunky tape with head phone jack attachted it works all the time make sure ipod is powered so that it wont loose power while playing its kinda old school stuff but works since most ipod products dont work with aftermarket sterios
