That is weird. If you have a speaker icon in the right lower corner of your screen, right click it. A window should pop up, click on " Open volume mixer"and make sure the slider for your web browser ( And / or any other options) is at the top of the scale, if not drag it up by left clicking on it with your mouse and dragging.
Hope this helps, if not try Google. Good Luck

SOURCE: Prblem playing back DVD

The problem is most likely the DVD player itself not the software. Try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Update this if that does not resolve the problem.

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 6530 sound card

Looking at VIA's page on the P4M266 and scrolling down, it shows you're using South Bridge VT8233/8233A/8233C. Going to VIA Arena and selecting XP, Audio, and VIA AC97 codecs incorporated into VT8233, VT8233A, VT8233C, VT8235 and VT8237/R South Bridges takes me to the audio driver you need. Just click the above link and get it.

also u might have to un-install driver and reinstall it! but PLEASE DO NOT UNINSTALL ANYTHING WITH OUT HAVING THE DRIVER CD or all the hard and software needed!

SOURCE: internal mic does not work

Be sure to find up-to-date drivers for your mic. What kind is it? That is most likely your problem. Either that, or you installed something that is conflicting with it.

SOURCE: my lap top has stopped playing audio

Right click the volume control - select open - this will open a larger volume control showing the volumes for each type of sound. Make sure none of the sliders are muted or low.

Im using acer aspire 4520 with windows xp... i also tried alot of SO my problem is that audio device doesn't work... i install audio driver.. sometimes it works and sometimes don't so when i finally get it...

I would first try to check for viruses and spyware. This is one of the major causes of sound issues. If everything else is ok with this laptop, then it sounds like your audio card might have a problem. Howver you might also have a problem with your speakers. Try connecting external speakers to you computer. If they work then it's your speakers. You can purchase those online from Ebay.

on Acer website you can obtain the drivers you need, although sometimes you may have to pick older drivers because the newer ones don't seem to work for certain things.try to install newest driver for your operating system on acer website and see if it works if not choose all to list an older driver and try that, one will work for sure. goodluck

The sound stalls when i play music on it. fix?

Try updating the audio driver, go my computer and right click, choose properties, go to device manager, click the "+" on sound, video and game controllers and right click on audio device and update driver. It takes a few minutes so be patient. If it does not find an updated driver unistall the driver and reinstall it, then reboot the computer.post me back if you still get problems.

Any additional drivers are on that page.

However, I didn't check if these are the most recent. For future reference, try Acer's webpage since that is the producer of your son's laptop.

Have you been installing and uninstalling programs? if yes then you need to clean your Windows Registry. If not doing so then some of your drivers have got corrupted and need re installing. it is basically a SW prob. Go to
http://komku.blogspot.com/2008/07/acer-aspire-6920g-windows-xp-and-vista.html
and download the drivers and reinstall them.

Acer sound problem

You may want to try updating your motherboard/IGP drivers here: http://support.amd.com/us/psearch/Pages/psearch.aspx?type=2.7&product=2.7.4.3.3.3.1&contentType=Tech+Download+Chipset+Motherboard&ostype=&keywords=&items=20

Also, you will want to make sure your ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 graphics drivers are up to date:

Start > Right-click 'Computer' > Properties > 'Device Manager' (under Tasks, top left) > 'Sound, video and game controllers'
There will be two Audio devices there, right click on both, one at a time, and click "Update Driver Software".
Restart your PC and try playing music/watching videos.

If there are still audio problems, I suggest you ask here as well: http://www.theacerguy.com/forum/

Loss of graphics - Acer Aspire 3600

Hey there besafe, the problem of your video driver is easily solved. If your computer is new, then you may have the driver CD for the motherboard installation. Alternately you can download the driver from the motherboard manufacturers website, assuming the video is onboard. If it is an installed video card, and you are without the driver disk, you can usually get the specific driver from the manufacturers of the video card website, specific to your OS. These drivers are easy to install therefore the best first step. If that does not work, then look at the hardware. If you have a video card installed, reboot your computer and enable the onboard video. If this works, then your video card may need replacing, preferrably with something having a higher built in memory and more suited to your usage. Hope it helps. Good Luck!
