I have a vitamix 5000 unit. Blade assy makes noice ; is loose. Where can I buy the set of bearings for the blade assembly?

You will need to source them from a bearing supply company as Vitamix only supply the bearings as a complete unit with the blade assembled. Once you have the bearings out take the sample with you to the bearing supply company for correct identification.

I don't know if the base foundation is too high in the base.

Hard to have an opinion when you have told us practically nothing. Make and model may help but I would suspect that if you are using the correct beaker and blade assembly on the correct motor base then the only thing I can think you could have done wrong is to put the rubber seal in the wrong place. Failing that is there some other way you can have assembled the blades to the beaker in the wrong order?

When i turn it onto high speed it willl fuse istanlty. (Even with somthing easy to blend like a smoothie) .Any ideas what could be wrong?

I would suspect a motor fault, most likely an insulation problem in the armature or the fields. Contact Vitamix for your local authorised service agent. Unless it has been assembled incorrectly it should not be one of the internal wires as they are supposed to be secured and correctly routed during assembly.

The power light on the Ninja Blender flashes and will not turn on.

Make sure the pitcher lid is assembled properly aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the handle. Press down firmly on the handle until you hear a slight click to ensure it is fully engaged. The Ninja will not run if the lid is not assembled correctly & the handle is not fully engaged.

I need a new rubber wheel

First, you'll need your model number (look for a label on the back near the power cord; if you don't see it there, turn the base upside down and look for a label on the bottom). Next, do an Internet search for "Waring parts" - there are quite a few small appliance parts suppliers that carry them. Some of the parts dealers will have exploded diagrams of the unit so you can easily identify the item you need.
You may have to buy a kit of parts instead of just the wheel since in some models it's better to just refurbish the assembly instead of just changing one piece at a time. I'm not familiar with any models that use a rubber wheel, so I can't tell you more than that.

I have a kitchen aid blender with a polycarbonate jar. The jar leaks at the blade. I noticed it has a plastic nut on the bottom with left hand threads. However the nut will not fit over the drive gear...

Older KitchenAid blenders had a jar that was made so the blade assembly could be removed for cleaning. On the newer models the blender jar and the blade assembly are all one unit so you have to purchase a new jar to get the blade assembly. All of this is dependent on which model of blender you have.

We would be happy to help you. Please a give us a call at 1-800-339-9297 we would be happy to help! One of our repair technicians can talk you through the repair over the phone free of charge. On the bottom of your blender is the model and serial numbers; have these handy when you call so we can help you order the correct part.

We have several blender jars on our Web site http://www.mendingshed.com/kitaidblen.html for KitchenAid blenders. If we don't have the blender jar that fits your model in-stock we can order it and ship it to you. Please contact us with any further questions. You can also email your model number or questions to customerservice@mendingshed.com

How do I fix or replace my kitchenaid blender blade KSB560BF (Polycarb Jar)? It's leaked thru the blade assembly.

Make sure the blade assembly is put together in the correct order. The blade needs to go through the gasket so that the order is pitcher glass, gasket, and metal blade base. Then the final plastic cap threaded onto the pitcher. If the gasket is not between the pitcher and the metal blade assembly, you will have leaks.
Also, check the gasket to be sure it's not cracked and that it doesn't have residue on it.
I hope this helps. If it does, please come back and rate my suggestion!

Blade not turning

the top rubber piece could be worn enough that it is not engaging the pitcher. look at it carefully and see if the "teeth" of the rubber disc on top of the base has not cracked and worn away. a picture of the new one can be seen on the parts websites to compare I spent $10.00 for my replacement but i found them at other sites for $6.00. you will need a very skinny 7mm open ended wrench to get the old one off and it is left handed threads that means clockwise will loosen not tighten the part.i ground down my wrench but an ignition wrench from an auto store will usually be thin enough to reach the flats on the shaft under the rubber disc

Blender blade assembly no longer turns

I had this problem and, after seeing these posts, was motivated to avoid paying the cost of a new blade unit. Here's how it can be fixed:
1. Take a kitchen hotpad and hold the blade (top) side of the unit in your hand as you unscrew the rubber gear on the base. This is a left-handed screw, so you must turn it clockwise, to free it up. This should be doable by hand. Be careful, removing the gear exposes a washer note which side is up, and place both the gear and washer aside.
2. With the blades held in the hotpad, unscrew the top nut, again clockwise. This takes more effort, but it will eventually give way. As this nut comes off, it exposes a rectangular post, to which everything is attached.
3. Remove a washer with a rectangular cutout. Make sure you remember which side is up (I think it makes no difference). This may require some rocking to remove the washer from the round-threaded end. It will come off.
4. Remove both blades in a similar manner. Note their orientation, which is important.
5. Next, remove a rubber gasket. On mine, it has a groove which is asymmetric. I don't think the orientation is important, but, again, you may want to note it.
6. What is left is an axle inside a sleeve. There are no bearings. In mine, I had to tap/drive this out. Take a flat-ended rod (ideas: I used the hex-shaped post end of a nut socket. An old drill bit you don't care about, rotated would also work). Place the unit on the edge of the counter, up-side pointing up, in a way so the bottom end of the axle could fall free when you drive it out. Gently tap the axle through the unit, using the helper tool when the axle is within the sleeve. It will drive completely out.
7. Clean everything. I simply scrubbed the axle and took a small brush to the inside of the sleeve. This doen't need to be perfect, but anything left on either surface may ultimately impair the functioning of the axle.
8. Lubricate the axle with household oil or a dab of grease. You will find that the axle will now slide into the sleeve fairly easily (I had the best luck from the top.)
9. Reattach the base gear, then the top in the obvious order. Everything should spin freely from this point on.
REMEMBER: always use the hotpad whenever you grip the blades and to tighten the bolt on top so that the axle protrudes slightly above the nut.
Good luck!
