Try these first and let me know Intercom does not function correctly • Make sure line 1 is connected properly and common to all phones on the system. • Make sure all phone ID’s (station numbers) involved have been assigned. Transfer does not function correctly • Make sure receiver phones (stations) have same line connected. Intercom indicator turns red and green alternately • The station address needs to be re-assigned due to a duplicate station address in the system. See “Changing the Phone ID (Station Address)”. Good luck, Lee
Change of password is the process that when you select the change the password option then you have to type your email address but here you have enter email address that you can see your password and can access.
On the phone, press the menu button, then status, then IP status or whatever and get the phone's IP address. Write the ip address down. On your computer, open up a web browser and input the phone's IP address into the address bar and press enter. This should arrive you at the web gui for that phone. It'll probably ask you for login credentials; by default, the name is "Polycom" (yes , it is case-sensetive) and the password is 456. Once you are logged in, you should see several links like "General" "Network" "Sip" and "Lines". click on Lines. under "line 1", you will see the configuration for that line. simply duplicate the entries for lines 2, 3, and 4.
Internet routers have a certain IP address. Usually written on the sticker on the under side.
Open your web browser and write the IP number in the address line. It should open the inner router menu.
If it asks you for a username and password - it's usually admin - admin.
After that it's quite straight forwards, brows the menu and find SSID - thats the router's name.
I wouldnt recommend changing the username and password, just protect it with your own password and change the network name.
When you get cable internet, the cable company provides you with a modem (usually). From the cable modem you can hook up the Linksys router with an ethernet cable and it will work just fine. Hook the router up to the desktop or laptop with another ethernet cable if you need to make changes to the router security or whatever. The router address is generally 192.168.1.1. YOu can type that address right into the internet address and you router page shoud show up. If you have been using the Linksys router with the phone line all you need is to connect it to the cable modem to work. An ethernet cable is like a telephone line with a fatter connecter.
