My icraig slimbook clp289 wont play music or record my voice it shows its playing and sound is on volume is full no sound

Try listening using headphones; maybe the speaker is damaged or defective.

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the left, here's how you reset:

You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.

Although the connections are very similar, the iHome is probably only for and iPod, and not compatible with Philips MP3 players.

The only dock I know of that is compatible is the AJ300D

I had the same issue and just connected the device to my computer USB connection and performed a quick format on the drive and it now works. You will be warned that reformatting the drive will erase all the data, which will happen. But you can simply reload your music and be back in business... Rod

Double check p. 17 of the manual for a firmware upgrade, in case this message is caused by a db corruption, but the error may also be caused if your player is in the "lock" or "hold" position.

A driver was loaded but Windows cannot find the device. This error occurs when Windows does not detect a non-Plug and Play device.

If the device was removed, uninstall the driver, install the device, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver. If the hardware was not removed, obtain a new or updated driver for the device.

If the device is a non-Plug and Play device, a newer version of the driver might be needed. To install non-Plug and Play devices, use the Add Hardware wizard. Click Performance and Maintenance on Control Panel, click System, and on the Hardware tab, click Add Hardware Wizard.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

try plugging in an external microphone, if that works and it records then the microphone element in your machine is bad or a wire has broken off of the microphone

Not playing full recording


Hi,
Maybe it's the preview play option of the player that you are using. It only plays a part of the recording for you to identify if it is the right recording that you are trying to find because the recorded allows you to record more than one file.

Hi there,
Just a couple of questions that might help you solve your problem..
- Have you already installed the sound driver of your motherboard/sound card?
- Have you properly inserted the right color/jack of your headset to the computer?
- Have you check the volume control of the headset whether it is in mute or full volume?

If you have tried the above questions then you might have a defective headset.

To test if it is working, try playing some music & the sound recorder for you mic.

Sometimes voices are low on playing of music/films

Well, it sound to (recording ) on each songs, depending on how it record, if happen only with some , it is no problem but if all songs you play happend then its a problem with the drivers, or program to control your music, try to down a notch on control panel the hardware acceleration. it solve a lot problems of this kind, or reinstall the drivers for the sound card.
