Check the hose isnt kinked

also at the valve input on the rear is a small plastic filter inserpt
you can bull it out carfully with pliers

if this cant help then the solinoid valve has probably failed

washer may not be detecting water temp but water flow ..if you never use hot water may try hooking cold water to a Y-connector and then hooking to both hot and cold inlet valves ..however it is also possible washer is detecting inlet temps in which case you're out of luck ..i suspect the latter

Why is there water coming from base of cold tap in bathroom when turned on. When turned off it's dry.

Possibly coming from neck of tap, slyly creeping its way down via the body, then appearing to trickle off the base.
Ifthe O-ring at the top end of the tap is worn, or the shaft-wot-the-handle-fits-onto is worn, then water flow can cause some water to be pushed upward, via the top section.
Try tightening the top nut clockwise.

Start with the pipe that extends out from the wall where you hooked up your cold water connection.
Get your self a large container and many rags or towels.
Gently loosen the connection to see if there is any water coming out of the wall pipe.
If not, there is your problem.
If so, you have something plugged up or wrong with the hose or the faucet.
Remember, normally a person will turn off the water at both valves under the sink when the replace a faucet.
Those valves are where most of your connection hoses go.
A valve can be broken or stripped, so that it will not turn on after you have turned it off.
God bless your efforts.

Hi just read your posting.1st try turning the hot water tap off and see if the water continues to come into the tub.If the water continues to come into the tub then turn the cold tap off.If the water stops coming into the tub after the hot water tap is turned off then you need a hot water valve. If the water stops after the cold tap is turned off then the cold water valve is still faulty. Please reply on how you got on and I will help you further.Looking forward to your reply.

Whirlpool AWO/D4305 Washing Machine. The "Water

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Providing that the tap is turned fully on AND the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, this is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs a service call ;-0(
Good luck,
John C

When water is turned on hot is okay but cold barely come on

Hi it sounds like the head inside the tap has worn, if it's a single tap then turn of the water supply, open the tap to ensure no water coming through then remove the head with a adjustable spanner turning anti-clockwise. take to a plumbers merchant and they will give you a replacement. There cheap enough. Put the new head back in and re-instate water supply. Turn on that tap to clear any air then your done. Thanks Paul.

The FH means water tap closed. If you were happy with using cold only you could get a Y-piece connector and join both the red and blue inlet hose to the cold tap.

Whirlpool Duet washing machine - no cold water comes in when I put it on cold cycle

Check the tap is turned on
if not fix
turn off taps, check the lint screen inside the hose end (tap connector end) is not blocked
if not fix
check cable connections on cold water solenoid valve inside rear of case
if not fix
replace cold water solenoid.

cold water solenoid valve fails more often than hot, is used on every cycle so bnurns out first.
unplug washer and turn off water before checking cables or replacing solenoid.

solenoid is cheap, common to many washers local parts guy will have one that fits even if it is labelled ge frigidaire kenmore
