Someone unscrew the outside of the pin and now the track is locked upwards and I can't get the pin out? What do I do?

I tried pulling it but no luck!!!

Brute force , also weight of track may need to be relieved to release pin , check for a locking mechanism .

How to repair rear window that won't roll up or

You'll need to remove the door panel from the inside of the door. Go to an auto parts store and ask them for a trim removal tool and a pry tool to help remove the window crank handle - tell the clerk what you want to do. Use the trim tool to unhook the catches around the outside of the door panel. Remember to unscrew the arm rest before you try to pull the panel off the door. Once you have that off, you will likely find that that the glass has slipped off of the track that the bottom of the glass rides on. It helps to have someone help you hold the glass as you lift it up and reset it on the track. Make sure that it is seated squarely on the window track and that it rides up and down smoothly before you put all the parts back together.

Does the stearing column adjust?

I've never heard of that problem. But racers have to disable those steering wheel locks, so if you like, I'll talk you through it.

The way the lock works is that a pin is forced up through the steering column from underneath. The pin is at the end of a little hinged flap, and a spring pushes this flap up towards the column. When the key is removed, the flap is freed, and the spring pushes it upwards. So, all you need to do is remove the spring. That way, gravity wins, and the pin never gets pushed upwards into the column.

Removing the spring is not that hard, really. You don't even need to remove the steering column trim. Under the center of the steering column, at the end of the ignition switch, you'll find a rectangular metal piece. Drill a 3/8" hole right smack dab in the middle of it. If you aligned the drill right, a spring will fall out of the hole (or maybe just get wound up on the drill bit). Once you remove the spring, the little flapper that sticks up into the steering column to lock it should be allowed to drop, and your steering will unlock.

Of course, yours is already stuck for some reason, so I can't guarantee that removing the spring will allow the pin to fall out from the steering column. If necessary, I suppose you could try to insert a screw into the flap through your new hole, and then use the screw head to try to pull the flap down.

the real problem is two fold first someone pulled with to much force,plus second thee science is there,but inferior oem parts are to blame ultimately, useing light weight steel components,and there would be no need to coment lol anyways,
when this latch breaks,the alloy material they use often breaks in several places.
to remove thee left or right outside dooe latch,
1)remove door panel,Window up

2)locate and remove the retainer clip

remove the three torq screws securing locking mechanism, leave in place remove outside latch trim (not reusable) plan ahead before removal if possible.

NEXT useing a pocket screwdriver find a spot to undermine the plastic trim,pop it off n you should see a large automotive antenna type nut remove it.back inside carefully manipulate the latch may be necessary to remove the vertical window support track,pay attention while disassembling, reassembly is the reverse.if you plan on useing ur exsisting key... theres a tedious but doable procedure to transfer your tumbler/lock assem. with old and new latch on bench.on thee base of the tumbler assem is a small drift pin holding holding everything together,(i used a 3/16 rivet) note be extremely careful bmw is not like other automakers_ - the tumbler can come apart if mishandled ,if that happens the lock is toast lol carefully tranfer old tumbler to new latch.u may need a mini pic set to allow tumbler pieces to mesh,
assembly is the reverse,

Corrine, That knob is spring loaded. You need to pull it out...Hard. Before you do this ,support the walk board/deck frame. It will be free to fall down after hou pull the storage/locking pin out. You need to pull the pin out and hold it until the walk board clears the upright. Then be carfull and lower the walk board/deck/belt.

Have a honda accord. 98. power locks not working. or key locks all doors from outside. windows work but only from the door that its on. drivers door will not operate others. but the window lock dose work.?...

Yes, the driver´s door has the master switch for everything. No need to dismount the door panel. Look inside the door grab rail ( which is part of the window switch subpanel)and there is a tiny black plastic cover that hides a single phillips screw. Lift the cosmetic screw cover with a tiny flat screwdriver, there is a slot to insert the screwdriver, to lift it. PARTIALLY, just enough to see the screw.Unscrew it, and the whole subpanel comes out, pulling upwards. The screw plastic cover is very frail, and has a slave strip that attaches it to the bottom, when unscrewing, be very careful not to break it. The subpanel itself has 2 or 3 connectors to handle window / window lock and remote mirror duties. Check that all connectors are plugged in firmly. If they all were attached to begin with, check that the contacts have not rusted.

My wrist watch has been in a drawer for over a year. I want to wear it now. the time shows 6;13 and the date shows 8: 16. It is running correctly. How do I set it foe the correct time and date?

First you need to unscrew the crown (setting knob) of the watch. Turn dial from up to down (downwards), you will feel the knob loosen and then it will pop out gently.
Pull out the pin very gently and turn downwards to set the date. If you have a Day and Date watch, turn upwards to set the day of the week.
To set the time, pull the pin out futher and turn to set the appropriate time.
Finally push pin in and simultaneously turn upwards to screw back the pin.
Please make sure you push turn the pin tightly because most cases of Water Damaged watches are caused due to the pin being screwed up not tight enough.

I have a '04 rio and the driver side door is stuck shut, when the manual lock pin is pulled up, it snaps back down like its on a rubber band.

Have 2003 Kia Rio 1.6, door shut, locking pin springs back down, I followed rfbqwerty istructions to the Penny and it worked in about 20 minutes I was able to open the door. The restst is a POC, thanks a million!!!

Easy method to open a stuck Kia Rio door. Full credit to 'fastkia' for explaining how to open a stuck lock but after opening my lock by his method I found an easier way to do the job. You need a piece of straight wire (clothes hanger is good) and make a 3/4 inch square bend on one end. Wind down the window & push a tapered (plastic) wedge between the glass and the inside rubber to get a gap to work through. Poke the wire down beside the glass and pull up on the lever that is operated by the outside door handle. This is not the wire from the door handle but is the lever the wire connects to in the lock. While the lever is held up by your hook you can now pull up the locking button. Remove the wire from the door and everything works and it can be opened and closed as often as you like but don't press the button or use the key lock or it will be stuck again. The lever is normally held up by a small spring that has a sharp bend at one end and the spring will ALWAYS break at this bend. I used the same spring with a 'new' loop made from a section of paper clip to replace the old loop. Better than the original. No cost and it took less than 30 minutes

To get at the turn signal bulb, you gain access to it by first removing the headlamp housing which is directly above it. Remove the top bolt and locking pin (as you mentioned), then remove the headlamp housing by pulling it (or pushing it from behind) straight forward to release the friction pressure clip located near the outside edge of the housing. To prevent damaging the headlamp housing's rubber gasket, you may have to first release several of the plastic grille's black plastic clips nearest that housing by pulling upward on the clip heads and removing them; they are re-useable. It's simple and quick to do once you've figured it out. I carry spare getting a ticket.

How do i get the track rod end off my hyundai accent 1998

Unbolt the nyloc nut holding the track rod end to the front wheel hub.Just before the nut is completely off hit the nut down over to free the tapered spindle from the hub. Alternately use a ball jiont splitter.(these tend to split the rubber boot on the track rod end). Then using two pairs of vice grips , put one on the track rod and one on the lock nut on your steering rack. A little heat would help here. Free the locknut the immediately unscrew the track rod end.Lock off the steering rack arm while you do this. It will rotate unless you do this.remove the track rod end. Replace all parts after boot replacement. you will need to excerpt upward pressure on the track rod end when refitting it to the hub. Take care not to wind the track rod end locknut too far as this will effect the wheel alignment. Good Luck
