Question about Tablets & eReaders
I accidentally pressed the wrong off button to turn off my tablet it asked for my password non of my passwords worked there is a plus box and my tablet is locked. I don't know anything about computers help 7
Dont panic... I'm sure there is a simple fix. But you really must remember your passwords better. There are many Apps and software programs to help you with this. Find a good method & stick with it. The future of passwords & security can only get harder.
You haven't mentioned what brand / model you are dealing with. This does make it hard for anyone to troubleshoot.
Find your manual. get an online PDF manual to learn the key sequences to press to wake it up or reset the device. Where did you purchase? Perhaps they can help!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: forgot password
Tablet PCs aren't my specialty, but as long as you are running Windows XP. it should work like any other version of Windows XP.
Start up in safe mode and log on as administrator. If your computer is like most others, whoever set it up forgot to password protect the administrator profile. If so, you can log on as admin and go to users and change your password.
