Question about Salter 1250BK Electronic Diet Scale

Open Question

How do I keep my salter electronic diet scales 1250Bk from bouncing in the digital display?

I have calibrated them a few times. Changed the batteries. Cleaned them. Made sure they were sitting on hard level surface.

SOURCE: I changed the battery on bathroom scale Salter 987

I had the same problem with my Salter 987 scale. Pull the battery out for about 10 seconds and put it back in. Then push the scale once so it turns on. After the blinking stops, push it once more. The scale will now zero itself. After the scale has zero'd itself it may turn off after a brief moment. It's now ready to use normally. If you're standing on the scale when it's trying to calibrate to zero, it will assume your weight is zero. Don't stand on the scale after replacing the battery untill you first complete the steps listed above.

If the mounting surface is not cleaned of all old gaskets or o rings and debris it will crack when tightened. Also when you mount it make sure it is sitting flat and not in a bind while you are snugging bolts up before you tighten in a cross pattern.

How to reset as scales are not weighing properly and new batteries have been inserted

These scales cannot be calibrated so i'm afraid that it's time for a new set. I think they were first manufactured in 2002 and they have a 10 year guarantee which meas you are out of luck. If you are in the UK, this site is a good place to start looking for another set of All Kitchen Scales

My Fan runs all the time on my HP Pavillion a6720f

GIF's and certain media and even Flash will make your Fan run continuously. Observe what you are doing when you hear the fan run. Also you said you cleaned the fan, did you open the bottom plate and then clean it? Also, is there a hard surface you are keeping the laptop on or are you sitting in bed using the laptop?

Sounds like electrolytic capacitor dried up needs curing, which is power on capacitor and left it absorb some moisture in humidity on power. Some time a few minutes, hard cases may take a few days.
