Im having trouble with a 2.5l in a 1997 jeep wrangler thought it needed a tune up so i gave it one from the plug wires all the way down to the coil but still has the same problem took off the valve cover and checked the movement on the valves seems they are working fin there was a leak at the intake/exhaust so i changed that gasket changed the gasket at the tb . nothing has changed ran it for a little and gave it some gas and i got a miss fire . checked the trouble codes says there is was a misfire in a couple cylinders also low or too hight voltage comming from a couple sensor the codes i got are ,17,22,23.24.25.43
Likely either your thermostat is stuck open or is incorrect one (should be a 195f) , Or, the electric or clutch fan is on too early and not shutting off, or...the temperature sensor is not working and therefore telling the computer that the engine is cold when it's not. If the computer is believing that the engine is still cold, it remains in cold-start mode regardless of what is actually happening.
