Find the code of receiver. Start w/1st #, follow remote instructions. If that doesn't work try 991, or 000.

I have a 5301. Connected last year, worked fine. Installed new batteries, connects and beeps, but fireplace won't light. All controls are in correct position.

I know it seems obvious, but sometimes over the summer people shut off their pilot light, and when relighting forget to move the pilot knob back to the "on" position after the pilot is going - check this first.
Next, you can slide the switch on the Skytech 5301 receiver from "remote" to "on" and verify that it lights the burner. If it does, you may need to re-sync the remote to the receiver. If it does not, check to make sure your wires are nice and tight on the TH & TP/TH connections of the valve.
If you are still having trouble, Skytech has a toll-free hotline for tech support on the 5301. It is: 1-888-672-8929 8am-5pm EST.

I have 2 wii remotes that have brand new batteries in them but everytime that i try to turn them on the blue light just blinks and turns off and i have already tried to sync the remotes with the wii but...

If I remember correctly, you can't just turn them on without being in a game. See if you can start a game, then press the home button and sync the with the wii by holding down 1 and 2 together.

My console seems to be working, but the remote will not work. I have changed batteries, bought a new remote, tried unplugging everything and nothing happens. What else can i do?

Have you tried syncing the remotes? Open the SD cover slot on the front of the system you will see a red sync button. Then remove the battery cover to the remote and you should also see a red button. Turn on the Wii and then press the red button on the system. Then press the red button on the controller and see if that works.

We received the wii system w/ a battery charger included ,but there were no instructions as to whether you can recharge batts. w/o having the them in the unit ,what the red, green light means what the...

Installing the Batteries
Important Note: If you would like to use rechargeable batteries, the only type of battery recommended are Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. When it comes to using rechargeable batteries, you must follow manufacturer guidelines for safety and proper usage. Failure to do so could cause damage to the Wii Remote and void the warranty.

  1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote and insert two AA batteries, using the plus (+) and minus (-) guides in the Wii Remote's battery compartment to insert the batteries in the proper direction.
    wiiremotebatteryinsert.gif

  2. Be sure to insert the minus (-) end first when inserting new batteries, and remove the plus (+) end first when replacing the batteries.

  3. Replace the battery cover.
  4. Go to the Next Step (Wearing the Wrist Strap) >

Wearing the Wrist Strap

  1. Place your hand through the wrist strap and hold the remote firmly in your hand. wiiremotewrist1.gif

  2. Slide the strap lock towards your wrist so that the strap will not fall off. Do not over tighten the strap lock so that it's uncomfortable. It should be tight enough to hold the wrist strap in place. wiiremotewrist2.gif
Go to the Next Step (Syncing the Wii Remote with the Wii Console) >

Synchronizing the Wii Remote with the Wii Console Synchronizing the Wii Remote to a Wii console allows the Wii Remote to communicate with the console. The Wii Remote included with your system should already be synchronized to your console. However, all additional Wii Remotes you use with your system also need to be synced in order to function properly..
There are two different modes of synchronizing (syncing):
  • STANDARD MODE - The Standard Mode procedure is used when adding additional Wii Remotes to your system or if you want to re-synchronize your original Wii Remote. Once synchronized, the Wii Remote will stay synced to the console unless you overwrite the settings by syncing the remote to a different console. For instructions on Standard Mode syncing, please click here.

  • ONE TIME MODE - This mode allows you to temporarily use your remote on a Wii console other than your own, or to use a friend's remote on your console. It can also be used to change the order of the Wii Remotes, without the need to turn off the Wii console. One Time Mode does not delete the Standard Mode setting stored in the Wii Remote. In this mode, the Wii Remote will only communicate with the Wii console while the power is on. When the power is turned off, the Wii Remote will lose its sync with the Wii Console. For instructions on One Time Mode setup, please click here.
Note: Only a Wii Remote in Standard Mode can turn the Wii console power ON or OFF.

In order to play with another controller you must sync the controller. The original Wii mote is already synced. To sync other one you must press the red button in the Front of the wii next to the sd card slot. Right after you do this you must press the small red button located on the back of the wii mote. To see it you must remove the battery cover.

Skytech model no. sky-3001 changed batteries in remote and the transciever now i get nothing you can manually get fireplace to turn on using the transciever but when you switch it to remote and try to use...

You have to get the remote and transceiver to talk to each other. Remove all the batteries and wait a couple of minutes
before replaceing them. Place the transceiver in the REMOTE
position, press and hold down the LEARN button, and then
press the MODE button on the remote control. A change in the
beep tone will be heard and you have MARRIED the two devices. Should solve the problem.

No communication between receiver and remote

amandaharwoo,

The first thing I would do, if you haven't already, is replace the batteries in the remote. The lights will still illuminate if the batteries are low but won't perform the remote functions. If that doesn't fix the problem, the remote may need to be readdressed to the receiver. I have provided the steps below. If you have further problems, please respond to the site.

  • Remote: All Other Remotes
    1. Go to System Info screen
    2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
    3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
    4. Press the pound (#) button
    5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Remote not talking to console

If your remote is giving out and not allowing you to continue , then yes it could be bad..

But, its hard to tell since you just got the system and the new remote is already bad?

If its not staying in sync, then I would try a different remote before thinking any repair options

We just installed yesterday. Ran it with remote for about 3 hrs, on and off, tested speed, reverse, all worked. Come back 5 hrs later and go to turn it on and it does not work. Usually i hear a beep when...

The beep comes from the receiver in the fan hub. If no beep, I would suspect the receiver is not responding to the remote.

Reasons could be:

- loose connections to/from receiver or,

- with bad luck, the receiver could have failed already (loose conections could cause premature receiver failure) or,

- the fan pull-chain switch is off -- your scenario does not allow for the chain being pulled during the 5 hours the fan was not run, but who knows... or,

- receiver/remote are out of synch (set on different frequencies). Are there dip switches in receiver/remote to set frequency, or is the frequency set by the remote with a combination of button pushing? If the latter, maybe the frequencies for the two are were accidentally set out of synch...

More info, let me know...
