SOURCE: No power!
Duke, take a look at the big 'powerbrick' that powers your xbox, on the front of it there will be a small LED, it should be red/orange if your xbox is turned off. If you see NO LED light then your powerbrick is no longer functioning.
If you DO see a LED, then its likley the Xbox is at fault.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: xbox 360 won't turn on
I had this problem. Make sure the pins in the USB ports (2 on the front and 1 on the back of the console) aren't bent and there's nothing obstructing them. I unbent some of the metal inside these ports, and voila! I have a working xbox.

I hate it when people put "Red ring of Death" for a ORANGE flashing light on the power bar and actually a red ring on the front of the Xbox (which then would mean the red ring of death)!
I just fixed this problem for a friend. They had a contoller charging lead plugged in to the front which had a bad connection in it. Thats all it was so I just unplugged the charging lead and it worked.
So Unplug everything except the power and see if it works 1st, if it does then plug things back in one by one and see when it starts to flash and thats your problem lead there.

It is having internal power issues, this is very strange for a unit that is this new. Since it is only 3 days old though you are in luck, just return it to the store you purchased it from and they will gladly exchange it for a new one for you. This happens sometimes with electronics, although they are tested in the factory there is always a chance they can die out, sometimes immediately, sometimes it takes quite a while. This is why they warranty the devices, but luckily you don't even need to warranty it, you can just return it and immediately get a new one.
Please make sure you rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me. I would be forever grateful if you could do so. If you need more help on this question please just respond to my answer here and I will get right back to you.
