If there wireless you need to make sure the two signal strengths are connecting to each other for that there is a testing kit you can get but its very expansive. If these are new and you installed these your self check your main raido and make sure all wires are hooked up properly, it could be the main box giving an issue with the signal.

Our rear speakers aren't working properly.

Well that proves the hardware works. Crack the manual for the unspecified model and see why the source selected or the sound mode selected don't utilize those speakers.

Wireless speakers not communicating to Receiver

Speakers have a unique RF frequency that needs to pair with the receiver (kind of like a blue tooth headset with a cell phone). At times, the signal may reset, so, you may have to go through the initial pairing sequence. Try this:
1. Unplug rear speakers
2. Make sure the sound signal connector is plugged in to the back of the system properly.
3. Press and hold the ID button for 3 seconds until the blue LED light flickers.
4. Connect the power chord to the rear speakers.

Hi!i have Philips HTS9800W but wireless rear speakers do not work!

The wireless rear speakers aren't wireless per se. They have to be connected to a receiver box and it's that box that brings in the system's wireless transmissions, eliminating in this way any cable runs from the front of the room to the back.
