Talked to sharp customer service and we tried resetting it but not sure I did it right. She thinks it needs to be replaced which means no remote over holidays. Trying to see if I can find any other suggestions.
Not convienent: Might try to see if friend has one . I would also watch YouTube video on how and see if missing a step in solving the issue.
- believe it or not if it's standard battery replace them
-If your resetting by powering off your remote remove power source and (press power button on remote to assure you've discharged power) then reinsert power source meaning battery or batteries.
- I would also try resetting the TV since the remote has a direct relationship with TV.

Unplug the unit for 1 minute, change batteries, and try again. Most of the time that will fix the problem. Good luck
