The remote on my sharp aquos lc55le643u does not work

Talked to sharp customer service and we tried resetting it but not sure I did it right. She thinks it needs to be replaced which means no remote over holidays. Trying to see if I can find any other suggestions.

Not convienent: Might try to see if friend has one . I would also watch YouTube video on how and see if missing a step in solving the issue.
- believe it or not if it's standard battery replace them
-If your resetting by powering off your remote remove power source and (press power button on remote to assure you've discharged power) then reinsert power source meaning battery or batteries.
- I would also try resetting the TV since the remote has a direct relationship with TV.

Unplug the unit for 1 minute, change batteries, and try again. Most of the time that will fix the problem. Good luck

Lost the remote for my sharp tv. And the control panel is locked. Who do I unlock the control panel with out the remote?

If the problem you are having is that the television's operation lock out for the buttons on the tv has been enabled then the only way to undo that is with the Sharp remote control. The only work around I can think of is to perform an INIT, which is a factory reset. I do not know is Sharp customer service will still walk you through that over the phone because it is a detailed and dangerous (in that it can wipe the memory of your television if done improperly) process. I do not know what type of Sharp you have i.e. aquos or non aquos. 800-BESHARP is the number for non aquos support and 877-332-7867 is the number for aquos support (open 24 hours for aquos support last I checked)---32 inch and over aquos that is.

How to reset sharp aquos lc-32l400m?thanx before

Sharp Aquos LC-32L450M - i have recently baught this LCD, but I think the 'mpx' ie the multiplex sound is not working. there is this 'mpx' button on the remote, but wen i press it nothing really happens. in the manual its only written in one line "mpx- multiplex sound" . please any one can help me ..I m really not happy wit the sound right now. paid so much & no good sound its bit irritating please any one help.. wats the problem

Try the main resets in the back by the a/v in and out jacks. If this does not work, call Sharp Customer Service and tell them that you already did the resets. There is a known problem with a heat dissipation pad for the onboard speakers and they will send a repair tech to replace the pad for free, even if you are out of warranty. At least that was the case with my LC-32D6U.

I have a sharp aquos 52" with a thin vertical red line in center

If you have a thin line running down the screen, you may be looking at a service issue right off of the bat. Here is a few things I want you to try before calling sharp, 1. Reset the unit from the setup menu
2. Unplug the unit for 2 minutes then plug back in. If that does not work. Take digital pictures of the line and call sharp immediately. Make sure you tell the rep you want to sign up for the aquos advantage program that they have(extends your warranty 3 months free of charge!) because that will get you priority service on with your issue. If they cant resolve that line ,9 times out of 10 they will replace the unit. hope this helps you

Remote Control Problem

take the batteries out of the Sharp remote press and hold the POWER button on the top of the remote for 5 seconds. Put batteries back in. Make sure that function is set to TV. Should work - if not call Sharp. If you are inside the original manufacturer warranty they will replace remote
