HP DesignJet Z6100 Series - Error "Printhead Replacement Incomplete Restart It"

I have HP Z6100. Today one of them gets an error message to reseat the LcLm printhead (#4). So I reseat it and it still tells me that I need to reseat the faulty printhead. So I install a brand new printhead, and it still says to reseat. I swapped the the two LcLm printheads (#3 & #4) and still it says to reseat #4. I figured the contacts might be dirty, so I cleaned those. Spotless. Still it tells me to reseat. What's going on here?

Time for a new printer. These things are just not worth fixing any more, even many of the large office units are made to break and be scrapped.

Have you ever tried to fix an embedded microcontroller? a sketchy ribbon cable? These parts are hard to find when the units are near new. After that, no longer available. Best bet is looking through the graveyard if you can find one.

Z6100 banding verticle in black

When you banding vertical do you mean Across paper feed direction OR With paper feed direction?
If its across the feed direction the chances are thje issue remains with the individual printhead, Print out a quality maintenance print to find which Printhead is not working as well as wanted, then replace ( or clean using the plotters control panel under image maintenance.
Errors along the feed direction can be down to Software/ Main Pca /

Code error 24:10

ISSUE: The printer front panel displays System Error 24:10. The printer may not print, and in rare cases, ink may leak from the printer. SOLUTION: HP is investigating a recent issue with some HP 91 Ink Cartridges in HP Designjet Z6100 series printers. A combination of factors related to handling during shipping have resulted in a very small incidence of HP 91 Ink Cartridges with the System Error 24:10 error. When the problem occurs, the printer front panel displays System Error 24:10 and the printer may not print.
HP regrets any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact HP Customer Support for assistance. Click here for information on how to contact HP support at http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/wwcontact_us.html.

It's just a practice with every plotter that i've worked on.The guide lines are absolutely inacurate. For every individial z6100 may be different but in mine the the right side of the paper must be about 3mm inside from the tip of the guide arrows(the paper must cover 3mm of the arrows).
