How do i tack the plastick covers off a janome9700

I would recommend that you purchase the service/repair manual for your machine. It might not specifically tell you how to replace the button, but it WILL tell you the best way to take the covers off. I believe they charge $15 for a service manual, and it's well worth the price because knowing how to take it apart can save a LOT of grief later.

Generally, there is a cover over the thread path that must be removed first, then the back, and the front is last. Also, for your purpose, it's not likely that the base will have to be removed. Sewing Parts Online sells service manuals for a wide variety of machines; if your machine is not listed, give them a call and they can and will order it for you.

How do i take the plastick covers off the mershine

I think you mean the buttons have stuck. Try reading the manual for this unit and if you no longer have the manual, you could try to use a toothpick to gently try to encourage Tue buttons to unstick. Many of these use a small button to release the covers or a screw that can be removed with a screwdriver to gain access.

Need to know how to thread the bobbin

there is a guide on the plastic cover which is a good guide as to the direction, but before you put the cover back use the top thread to pull it through by putting the needle up and down and replace cover

Janome New Home mx3123 reverse button not working

1/28/13 - I have Janome Harmony 2049 that was initially sewing forward with no reverse and then after about 12 inches of sewing would ONLY sew in reverse. After spending an hour getting the plastic housing off...I was able to locate the shaft that made the reverse. It needed lubrication and after working it in and unjamming the part from the down position, the forward and reverse now work!
Huh, right? Hope it continues to work well. It is a smooth running machine, otherwise. Good luck!
