- IF Sales Amount * Tax Rate is less than $300 then make it the value of Sales Amount * Tax Rate.

Hi Lori,

Here is how it is done. In INVENTORY, create a coupon item. In description, call it DISCOUNT, set to FLAT AMOUNT, check each SALES TAX used, and set amount to a negative -1.00. Click INCLUDE and choose which items or departments this coupon works for. You will need a coupon item for each amount of coupons you have out. This will show the discount amount on receipt and subtract the tax discount.

Please return and give me a favorable rating if this helps or is of value to you.

Feel free to email me with more details if need be.

In the department programming section, there should be a setting to turn on each tax (tax1, tax2 etc). Turn on or off the tax that you just set the rate for.

Hi nastyguy3000;

To calculate a percentage in excel you simply take

amount/total = percentage in your cell

Example A B Purchase price Sales tax (in decimal form) 800 0.089 Formula Description (Result) =A2*B2 Multiplies 800 by 0.089 to find the amount of sales tax to pay ($71.20)

Have Fun

Hi.

I haven't worked with the 1550, but most Casios are the same.

Try this:

Turn key to program.

Press 0

Press the PLU that you want to set as open priced.

Press SUBTOTAL

That will set the price as 0 for that PLU. Now we set the feature for that PLU to allow manual pricing.

Leave key on program.

3

SUBTOATL

0

Press the PLU again

SUBTOTAL

Try that. If you had tax set to that PLU, you may need to set it again.
