Have you tried to take a picture with the camera and use flash? If this works then the fault is in the application, if not the flash for the camera is faulty and not much can be done aside from replacing the camera inside or the phone. If flash with camera works, then try to reinstall the flashlight app.

How do i format my xperia?

Hi Laila,

To factory reset your phone you will need to do the following:

Press and hold Camera key + volume up key+ power button together

The phone will format itself to factory default, if this does not work then you will need to navigate to:

Setting -> Privacy -> Factory data reset -> Reset phone -> Erase everything.

Please let me know if this helps,

Thanks,

Hi,

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is highly customizable and you have been hard at work tweaking it to your liking, but now the fun is over and you want to return it to its factory settings again.

Here, we show you how to hard reset the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with step by step instructions.

3. Tap Factory data reset
4. Tap Reset phone
5. Enter your password, then tap Erase everything to confirm

If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:

1. Turn the power off. If your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Left and right buttons located beneath the display
3. Press and release the Power button
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to hard reset your Xperia X10

All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
