SOURCE: Kenmore 795.7731 Fridge warm;freezer cold - Error er dH

just called in a sears technician 150 dollar bill that was an easy fix. he says my bottom freezer kenmore fridge with warm fridge problem was due to the pathway being blocked by ice and garbage which is common with these fridges. he took off cover from the fridge bottom and poured boiling water down to the freezer. try that before you replace any parts or call in a tech.

SOURCE: Magic Chief compact fridge motor gets hot but does not cool

Look In the rear bottom where the wires plug into the compressor. There will be a plastic cover plate over the connecting wires. Remove it. Unplug the white wire. note the white wire was plugged into a small black box (3/4"x3/4") pull the black box out. It is connected by 2 prongs. If you open this up you will find a small metal disk that looks like a watch battery. pop it out and clean the contacts. put it all back together and it should work fine. I believe it is the thermostat and many times gets bad contacts and can even crack over time. The compressor will "click" on but the bad thermostat tells it "no"

My refrigerator was moved away from the wall and unplugged for 2 weeks. They just moved it back and plugged it in. The displays light up, the lights come on but it is not cooling. What should I do?

Leaving it unplugged for 2 weeks should not have caused any problems. The fridge may have been on a defrost cycle. As the unit is unlikely to have had any frost, it should have started refrigerating about 15 to 25 minutes after plugging it in.

How do I reset a E3 code on a Soleil ph-91e-wd heater?

I just ran across this also. I unplugged it for a while then noticed the back filter was really bad. So I cleaned that and it's been working again so far.

Power surge made my Frigidaire stove show a F9 code

F9 is a door lock error. Sometimes when the power surges the door locks then unlocks. It is possible your door lock could actually be broken, however many times when the EOC fails, it will show an F9 when it should show F1. I would guess that your EOC (main computer board) is fried. Try unplugging it for 24 hours then press the door lock button once you plug it back in. If there is no error code when you plug it in but the error code comes back when you lock the door, you probably have a problem with the lock.

The fridge is not cooling. Error ER DH showing on door. Freezer works fine. Was told that the PCB board is to be replaced as well as the defrost module. Cost will be approx $600. Can you advise o

The "Er dH," also known as the Defrost Heater Error message, is displayed when the unit fails to reach 46? F within 2 hours of beginning its defrost cycle. This may be an indication of the defrost heater having broken or the temperature fuse having been pulled out of its slot. Contact customer service if the problem persists after having attempted a system reset.
Quick Fix
  • Unplug the refrigerator for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Doing this will reset all the codes. Sometimes an error appears by fault. If it does not appear again after restarting, then the refrigerator is fine. If the code appears again, then there is a problem with the defroster.
Defroster Problem
  • The error code itself means that the defroster mode has failed. This means that the defrost mechanism cannot reach 46 degrees Fahrenheit within two hours to defrost ice in the freezer properly. Unplug the refrigerator and move all the items that can spoil into a backup fridge or freezer.
Repair
  • Look in the back top of the freezer. Use a screwdriver to remove the ice maker machine that blocks the back defrost panel. Remove the two side screws and pull away the plastic cover guard. Check the wire. If it is unplugged, then secure it to see if that is the problem. If the plug is connected, then remove it to check for more problems. Look for any faulted wires on the defroster. If it appears that the wires are fine, you need to replace the defroster panel. Contact your local LG dealer for the specific part number

EF error code on frigidaire refrigerator, help!!!

My Frigidaire also got the dreaded E-F error code and stopped cooling. Technician over the phone told me to unplug it for 5 minutes and then plug it back in to see if the control board would reset itself. Did that with no luck. Unplugged the refrigerator last night while I tranferred my food to a spare fridge in the garage. Plugged the fridge back in this morning (9hrs later) and it works fine with no error codes. It looks like the control board has reset itself but how long it takes...I dont know. 10.. maybe 15 minutes? Well more than 5 at least. Guy over the phone told me that you can buy DRY ICE at a local grocery store and put it some in your freezer and a little bit in the frigdge to keep the food cold for a day. I had a spare fridge but I thought that was a good tip for anyone that needs to buy time for a tech to come repair the fridge. I had just bought $300 in groceries the night before so that tip would have come in handy if I did not have the spare fridge. I have no idea what the EF error was for but it's been 5 hours since I plugged my fridge back in and it's running fine so I'll cross my fingers. Got around to cleaning the fridge and plugging in a surge protector too. Hope this post helps someone out there.
