Too may things could be wrong with it, with out actually seeing it , it would be hard to diagnose this problem..
I believe those are computer controlled.
so it could be a computer problem.
make sure discharge hose is above level of machine, meaning if your hose needs to be vertical to the machine or the water will flow right out. The pump should not be running while the machine is filling. If it is, then that would also indicate a computer problem.

Leaking maytag neptune washer

The pump and its various hoses are easily accessable through the back panel. The boot can collect coins which can block the pump. Squeeze the boot and empty it of all coins. Coins can ruin the impellers on the pump. A new pump costs $100 on line. The drain hose can be plugged by dimes and pennies. Good luck.

Maytag Neptune TL washer overfilling

yes i would agree the water valve is defective as if unplugged it should close, but also sounds like a pressure sensor or pressure hose problem that is also defective too due to the fact that it should at least start the wash cycle even though the water doesn't stop filling,so also it could be the central control unit, pressure switch or pressure hose

Maytag Neptune Washer fills with water when it sets over time. What could cause this?

It probally a faulty water inlet valve. It is the part where the water hoses attach. When the washer is not running or even unplugged, water should not get pass this valve. It relatively easy to replace. Remove the hoses and pull the back off the washer. You should be able to find it at any appliance supply house or online. Hope this helps you.

Maytag Neptune door lock stuck!!!

Try these steps:

1.) Take the washer outside. 2.) Loosen the two screws on the back panel and remove the back panel. The pump sits on the left-side of the opening. There's a black water hose with a metal clamp; 3.) squeeze the metal clamp with your fingers until it's loose enough to slide away from the pump. 4.) Separate the hose from pump and the trapped water will pour out and the door will then open; and 5.) clear any blockage from the drain hose and the pump.

About 1 minute into the cycle water starts running out from underneath of the washer. Checked all the hoses that are connected to the back and none are leaking

this is either the front seal that goes from the outer tub to the front of the washer or a hole in the outer tub itself or one of the hoses underneath the seal and the hoses are easiest to check you can take a cup of water and slowly pour it into the front seal. take care not to overfill it to where it spills into the tub and see if you are getting water on your floor from that. the hoses tip the washer up onto its back and look at them from the bottom for any cracking etc. the tub itself can only rust out on some of the neptune models or on others is plastic and can get punctured. just have to look for damage with a light and a mirror.

No flow

Hello hedrickcari
Welcome,

You said, you are getting a no flow error code. This washer was installed today. If I have an air pocket, how do you get it out so the washer senses the water flow?

First I would unplug the washer for 5 minutes and see if it resets and clears the errors!

Make sure the door is tightly closed. (Unlike top-loaders, front-loading washing machines must be closed in order for water to begin filling. Makes a lot of sense when you think about it.)

Then make sure the machine is plugged in to a live (or working) electrical outlet. It's a good idea to check the appropriate circuit breaker and reset it if needed or check the fuse if you have a fuse box.

Next, turn the control dial to the proper cycle and push the START/STOP button firmly. Then turn both faucets (hot and cold) on all the way. Take a look at the inlet hoses (which go from your pipes to your washer) and straighten them out if necessary.

Turn off the faucets and then disconnect the hoses. Clean the hose filter screens to remove any blockage that could be plugging up the water line.

Then replace the filter screens, reconnect the hoses, turn the faucets back on, open and close the door, and push the START/STOP button firmly one more time.

You should be rewarded with the sound of water beginning to fill up your Maytag® Neptune® washer. If you aren't, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-688-9900.

Washer leaking water on floor

Need to check drain pump and its hose connections. If its not from the drum seal then that's usually where the leaks occur.

I have a Maytag Neptune washer. I`ve had it about ten years and Ilove it. today I washed a bathroom rug that is old and the backing has come off. Now the washer will not empty . Even when the cycle was...

sounds likeyouve problably clogged your pump assy with the backing of that rug. all you can do is clean out the pump assy,
1. drain out as much water as you can(buckets, cups , etc)
2. the door comes of by removing 2 screws on the hinge, and remove the 2 screws on opposite side of hinge.
3. the front "U" shaped panel will kinda wiggle and pop off.
4. UNPLUG THE UNIT.LIVE WIRES!!!!!!!!!
5. youll see the pump assy 2/3 thirds the way back on righy side. youll need to remove the clamps holding the hose on and remve the debris from pump housing.when oyu relese that clamp theres gonna be some water still in hose so prepare for might be as much as a gallon or so. plus all the crap you got stuck un there!!!!
6. reassamble and start washing!!!
