First, take off the panel to the pump area so you can see the pump, belts and pulley, unplug the machine check the belts by hand to the pump you should have two; one is a pump belt thee other is a drive belt make sure they are taught enough to drive the pump. While you are there, checking the belts check the pulley if those are fine your pump may need replacing and if you notice wear and tear on the belts replace them as well.

To double check remove your hand and plug the machine back in and run it through the pumping cycle with water just as if you were washing cloths and while using a flashlight watch it run; if it runs fine kicking on and off like it suppose too replace the pump. If it does not cycle on and off check the fuse if you have an electronic issue it would be best to call a technician.

Things to look for;

Broken belts, burnt belts from slipping, cracks in the belts, loose screws or bolts, loose or broken pulley, leaks in the hoses and pump housing etc.

If you find a broken belt, your pump may or may not be fine. Time to repair 1 hour cost $100 or less, however, if it is in the control board call a technician.

Here is a little secrete if your warranty has expired some places would still sale one to you, pending how long it has been out dated all you have to do is call them and ask and in most cases the cost of the extended warranty is cheaper than the cost of repairs.
Sears have been good me over the years with refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and TV's furthermore, so has JVC with camcorders when I could not get an extended service contract they had no issues helping me when I contact them directly. Therefore, if you cannot get the extended contract, contact LG directly they may help you as well. In fact, when the electronic store where I bought my JVC would not sell me an extended contract to get a repair JVC contacted them directly and told them to sell me one the next day the store called me and told me to pick up my new service contract and a refurbish replacement camcorder. The manager thought I had some clout when in actuality a little respect and tact goes a long way. Truthfully, when I called JVC service center I was in a good mood although the person at the other end was not although remaining professional and polite the whole time, anyhow by the time our conversation was over they were laughing and feeling much better.

Sounds like a drain pump issue but check the outlet hose for kinks or blockage before you call repairman. Parts diagrams do not show any consumer servicable pump filters like the newer machines.

If you still have this problem, and you haven't solved it locally, write me here or at alanwkelly at the Gmail.com and provide as much as you can about the machines. Are they new? Used? Have you known them to work without problems before? Are the hoses kinked, that is, blocked? Are the pipes into which the washer hoses attached - clean and free of blockage? Info like that would be helpful to answer your question so far away. Methinks you need someone close, local. RSVP

SOURCE: My frigidare crown series washer won't drain the

Remove the back cover and later the drum drain pipe. If a filter is present, dismantle and clean out. Most often the cause is a object that that is hindering the operation of the spinning pump. Dismantle and clean the pump.

Maytag quiet series 200 dishwasher spray arms won't turn

Have you tried tighten the spray arms? They may have come lose at the fittings so need to be tightened up. You can normally tighten them with your hand. Take any traps/filters out of the dishwasher and clean them.

Maytag top load washer water runs but doesn't fill.

Drain is to low. You will have to raise the drain hose above the top of the washer. Whats happening is the water is siphoning out as fast as it goes in.

Goes through cycle, but doesn't drain. Will drain manually

Hi, Sounds like it could be timer. Does the timer advance to the off position? There could be a partial plug in the hose or pump also. You can add water again and then go to spin cycle. Lift the drain hose out of the drain pipe just enough that you can see the water flow. You should see water draining out with a bit of force and the stream should be the sizt of the drain hose.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can be of more assistance.

Thanks
Vic

Burned belt?

Yes, smell like your belt.. if there is water in tub, try to get it out... (wet vac)... slide your washer out and tilt it back so you can see under... there should be 2 belts.. 1 for gear and 1 for water drain pump... and you can check Sears.com for parts.. good luck...

Maytag legacy series washer not holding water

Same problem here. But according to Maytag Service, the draining pipe may be too deep inside the draining tube on the wall, thus creating a siphon effect and not allowing the tub to fill.
Their suggestion is to ckeck the pipe and make sure no more than 6-8 inches are inside the draining pipe. This should take care of the suction. We'll see, Imma do that when I get home.

If it only leaks in drain it has to be a hole in the drain hose or a plugged up house drain.
