Maytag Oven. The bake do not heat, the broil is ok. what is the problem ?

Look at the wiring diagram... The manual reset Thermal Limiter Switch (part number 74008715), located on the lower rear insulation retainer can keep both elements from working, not one at a time... I would inspect the back of the bake relay for a burnt/failing solder joint. Swapping the BAKE and BROIL leads is an acceptable test, but if you put the bake leads on the broil and still get no heat: check the control relay. If the broil leads will not heat the bake element, you have a bad element or bad connection. Be sure to do all testing of the elements with at least one wire detached so as not to red a back circuit.

The heating elements in breadmakers rarely if ever break down. Most likely the power relay mounted on the circuit board has worn out. Time for a replacement breadmaker. eBay perhaps?Hope this helps!

BREAD WONT BAKE

Hi,
Chances are 80% that the heating element has blown. This is due to the fact that a heating element has a limited life span because of the great amount of heat it generates. I would first check or have the element checked at your local repair store before looking for any other problems. It's possible that the thermostat which controls the element has blown, but it's more likely to be the element itself.
Let me know if this solves your problem.
Best wishes,

Breville Breadmaker kneads ok, but that is all it does.

I have a feeling that the element is faulty. The battery symbol doesn't represent backup, it usually represents that the power has gone out.. Best to check the element and any fuses/microtemps.

Look very carefully where the bread pan goes in. There is a heating element around it. If the bread pan is too close or touching the heating element ( the round thing running around the wall), it will burn the bread. You can try moving the bread pan away from the heating element. If you try and bend the heating element, it may break the element, so move the bread pan only.
