If they are tagged e-mail messages open your email account and look at the top of the list in your inbox. If you mean instant messages/chat window it depends on which chat app you're using. Skype will let you view messages from each contact. Simply click on the contact's name.

SOUND DRIVER PROBLEMS


Try installing the latest audio driver.
You can download the audio and device drivers from Dell WEB site,the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages,the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. I have no sound from my dell inspiron 700m. ext speakers dont work either and i have reloaded drivers and also i get a working as should message

If the driver has installed without any problems and you still cannot get any sounds from the speaker, then the audio chip maybe faulty and this cannot be a simple fix, the motherboard needs to be replaced. It will be better to get a new laptop as a later model laptop is better and cheaper.

Please try below instructions if they help .

You will want to use the LeapFrog Connect Tag Fixing Tool to see if you can resolve the issue. The instructions for Mac, and PC are listed below:
PC instructions:
1. Begin with LeapFrog Connect closed
2. Click here: http://lfccontent.leapfrog.com/cs/tools/LeapFrogTagFixTool.exe for the download executable file.
3. A File Download box should pop up. Select "Run"
4. You will be prompted for a location to download the program to, you will see a message "Unzip to folder"
5. Click Browse and select your desktop as the location to save the folder
6. Click "Unzip"
7. This should create a folder on your desktop named "LeapFrogTagFixTool
8. On XP: Open the folder and double click on the TagFixTool to open
9. On Vista or Windows 7: Open the folder and right click on the TagFixTool and select "Run As Administrator"
10. Connect the Tag Reader or Tag Junior to the computer and turn it on
11. Click the button "Click once to fix your Tag Reader or Tag Junior"
12. Once the repair process is complete, follow steps printed on the screen to close the program and open LeapFrog Connect.
Mac instructions:
1. Download the LeapFrogTagFixTool.dmg and mount the image. File is located here: http://lfccontent.leapfrog.com/cs/tools/LeapFrogTagFixTool.dmg
2. Drag the FixIt application into your Applications folder.
3. Close the LeapFrog Connect application (if it is open.)
4. From the Applications folder, double-click the FixIt application file to open the LeapFrog Tag Repair Utility program.
5. Connect your Tag Reader or Tag Junior to the computer.
(Make sure your toy is powered on.)
6. To start the repair process, click the "Click once to fix your Tag Reader or Tag Junior" button.
7. Once the repair process is complete, follow steps printed on the screen to close the program and open LeapFrog Connect.
Note: Please be sure to be signed into your admin account and are connecting to a USB port directly on the computer, not a port on the keyboard or other hub.

LeapFrog Connect Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. I don't know what to do. this is what I got both of my kids for Christmas and it doesn't work...


I would completely remove the software and reinstall it. I recently bought the Tag Jr after already having a regular Tag installed on my computer, and had to completely re-download everything. LeapFrog's website today also said that they were experiencing much higher than normal traffic, and some applications may not work as well or as fast.

No sound from speakers


I would go to Dell Website click on Enter Tag
Click on Find Tag this will look up your system drivers.

Then look for Audio driver click download now and install it
After you reboot you should be all set.

Where is serial #


Dell doesn't use a serial per sa. they use an express code number and a service tag number. The service tag number tell you everything about your computer, what was put in it, warranty, ect.
If you need drivers you'll locate them.
So if you need drivers, manuals or the like use you service tag number...SUPPORT->DOWNLOADS-DRIVERS

Computer will not download the connect cd


Question   My computer meets all the minimum system requirements but when I try to download the LeapFrog Connect Application, I receive the error message "Your computer must meet minimum required System Configuration" trnsp.gif   Answer   Please make sure your monitor resolution is set at 1024 X 768 pixels or higher and then try to download the application again.
