GSM phones use SIM cards, so you will need to pick a service provider (AT&T, T-Mobile, Simple, etc) first. Obtain a SIM card from them, insert it into your phone, and your service will begin. If 3g service is not working, it could be your physical location, which would affect signal quality. Check your phone settings as well to make sure data is enabled / available.

Can i get AT&T Z10 BlackBerry with a SIM card unlocked and use it on Verizon service with a Verizon SIM card

I don't think so....it does not support CDMA.So once you have unlocked you can swap with other GSM providers only. There are many unlock providers like Prounlocking.com to unlock your phone permanently.

How to turn on 3G network on Samsung galaxy s2?

Settings > More Setting > Network Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > WCDMA Only or WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)

WCDMA Only is is you only want to use 3G.
If you want that your phone should switch between 2G and 3G mode automatically, use auto connect option.

For this, your SIM Must support 3G services.

I bought a sidekick lx from amazon, and it said it is unlocked for any gsm user. I am in belize, Central America and I put my sim card in and it is saying no service. what should i do.

If your provider has only 3G in your area, it wont work unfortunately due to the frequencies involved. it uses GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 on 2G
Is your provider using only 3G by any chance? or is the area you live in only covered by 3G?

I am thinking of purchasing an i68+ but I want to make sure it will work on the AT&T 3g network. I have been told that you can only use 3g phone with AT&T now, can anyone tell me if you have one on...

It will not work on any 3g network. It needs a non-3g sim card. Most networks carry at least one standard GSM frequency (900/1800/1900MHz) as well as 3g (2100MHz), so it will work if you get a 2g sim.

Network problem

Hi,
For information about the Motorola RAZR V3x and what carriers it will be on, here is a quick answer: only GSM carriers. For those unaware of the technology behind cell phones, there are two major competing technologies GSM and CDMA. You will never be able to use a GSM phone on a CDMA network or a CDMA phone on a GSM network. If it's all ok for you then call upon your service center.
Hope this Helped!

No network

Hey. I think this is a general problem with the K770i. I have one also and it will turn itself off and then back on everytime there is a bad signal when the phone is in 3G/GSM mode. Sadly The phone has a really bad antenna located in the bottom of the phone. You can try holding the phone upside down, (seriously it helps) or turn of 3G when you're in an area with poor signal.

I've solved this issue by going into the settings and switching the phone to ONLY GSM mode.
Goto "Settings"
"Connectivity"
"Mobile Networks"
"GSM/3G networks"
and then change it to GSM only.

And like magic your phone will stop turning itself off all the freaking time when there's a bad signal. :)

3G HSDPA

3G is the 3rd Generation of mobile phone standards. It superseeds 2G (GSM). GSM is the most used standard in older phones. Your phone supports 2G and 3G. 3G offers a greater mobile network capacity and more advanced mobile services.

HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) is a data transmission available for 3G networks. Theoretically it can achieve theoretical data transmission speeds up to 15 Mbps. Most services offer 2-4 Mbps at the moment. It can be used for downloading.

For more information, you could look here for 3G and here for HSDPA.
