Unplug the machine and leave in this state for a few hours. Might be best to have the unit powered on and possibly running if you can when unplugging. Many units will have covers made of plastic that have screws that need to be removed. These screws may have small plastic button pieces that could be covering the screw heads. Sometimes a small flat blade screwdriver can be used to remove these screws. Otherwise try looking on the bottom side of the plastic near the rear end and the front to see if you can find screw heads. Take pictures and remove the screws. The motor should be found near the front.

Washing Machine Motor Coupling Repair

How do you tell if your washer motor coupler has gone bad? Motor couplers are used on "Whirlpool" direct-drive washing machines. In some Whirlpool or Whirlpool-made washing machines, the motor coupler connects the drive motor to the transmission. It operates under extreme conditions and stress. Mostly during start-up and stopping of the motor. The main symptom of a bad motor coupler in the Whirlpool made washing machines is that there is no agitation or spinning action, along with the sound of the motor running. Since the motor is running, but there is no connection to the transmission, the machine will not agitate or spin the clothes out. The motor will simply run, but nothing else happens. In this case, the coupler is most likely cracked. To replace the coupler in the Whirlpool made washer, you must first unplug the washer, remove the top console by either removing the screws or using a putty knife to unsnap the top clips, rotate the console back, pull the washer front off by tilting back, and set the cabinet aside. Remove the clips holding the pump and motor on. Remove the bolts holding the motor on. Inspect the coupler and replace with a coupler if necessary. Re-assemble the motor and pump assembly. Re-assemble the washer in reverse order of disassembly. Plug in and test by running the washer through it's paces. Here is a video on repairing the motor coupler.

I have jvc compact componentsystem model hxz 77d

Well you use the wrong topic. I assume you want sound via your aux-input to come out of your little system. Then you need the turntable to be on consumerlinelevel , so you need to buy a pre-amp which comes between your turtntable PHONO-output and connect the tt(turntable) output first to the input and then use the output from the Pre-amp to go to the aux in. Don't do a thing if you hdave a higly expensive turntable.

My machine wont spin it washes and empties but no spin?

seems like the carbon brushes on the motor. To do this unplug machine, and then remove the panel at the bottom of machine on the rear, this is just a screwdriver to remove this panel.Next tilt machine forward against a wall so you can see the motor. Remove the belt and then using a 13mm spanner remove the bolts holding motor in place. Now there is a plug with wires to the motor, unplug this and also remove the earth wire. Your motor is then ready to remove. best way is to place it onto floor and then slide under cabinet of machine. You will then see each side of motor 2 plastic casings with a wire going to each. These are the brushes. To remove them you need to remove the 2 screws on each. These black carbon brushes should be at least half inch long. When replacing motor ensure you connect earth wire. Brushes are about £ 15.00. Good luck

Replace brushes in an indisit washing machine

Remove the rear panel of washer.
Remove belt from motor, unplug lead to motor, remove earth wire.

Undo screws securing motor, and remove motor.
The brushes are located at the opposite end to the motor pulley, you will see a wire going to each brush.

I'd like a manual for a Smith Corona word processor

well, it's been over a year and i wonder if you still need manual.
you can go to smithcorona's website and check out the Office 2000 series manual found on their support page. Although probably not the right model (this one has a small one line screen) it may match all the functions you need to know about. I have a model 5F (78DS) and it helped me a great deal.

Broken washing machine

Could be a motor coupler. $10 dollar part. The trouble is getting to it. You need to remove the cabinet from the base of the machine, remove the drain pump from the front of the motor, and then remove the motor itself. Once the motor is removed, you can see the coupler. It is 2 pieces of plastic, and 1 piece of rubber. Very common problem.
