There are a lot of pumps out there but we cannot guess which one you have. Give more info such as make and model so somebody can help you. Assuming you are talking about a well pump more then likely the foot valve is leaking, some people call it a point.

My 2000 SL2 is still overheating after all has been replaced i.e. water pump, radiator, I took the thermostat out (but when the cars is running, there isn't a good flow of water) the head gasket too.

Did you flush the system out before installing the new water pump? Scale may have loosened up and blocked some flow. Reverse flush the engine, radiator and heater core. Removing the thermostat for testing is ok, but don't plan to run it like that. It may actually run hotter without the thermostat.

Drain on Battery; Alternator and Battery both cheched and are "OK", All power shuts down intermitantly with no consistant pattern or symptoms.

That sounds like a loose connection of the main power cable from battery to system. Check where it is connected (ob battery or starter) fo looseness. If OK check connection on main fuse box.

One must spray starter fluid into air intake after removing air cleaner cover runs fine once started.this must be done every time you start it.engian temp doesn't mater 1993 s 10 p/u

i would be thinking along the line that there is inadequate fuel in the line when engine is cold. there is a regulator to keep fuel pressure right at all times, that could be bad or you could have something leaking down while the engine is off. i would not suspect the pump itself as it works after you get started.

Ok i have a major antifreeze leak, looks like is pooring from underneith motor and cannot find the leak...truck hasnt heatet up at all just parked it and there was white smoke witch looked like it was...

You didn't mention how many miles are on the vehicle but your symptom points to a water pump with failed seals. They don't often fail at less than 100K but they can.

There is a small hole at the bottom of the pump housing that allows coolant to leak out if the seals fail to prevent the coolant from ending up inside the engine and damaging it.

I have a 5 gal, i hp craftsmen compressor, 3 years old, used once a year to blow down sprinkler system. Compressor ran up to 120 lbs upon turn on, would not cycle off. manually shut off unit and turned...

Oil free pumps do tend to blow the piston ring (not too expensive) available at searsparts.com. Remove covers to pump and manually turn crank until piston is at top and look at the condition of the cylinder neer top, If it looks scratched, order cylinder kit with piston ring. If it looks good and shiney, could be the valve plate in the head. There are reed valves that tend to break. Run pump however with covers removed and check with soapy water for air leaks and repair as needed (air leaks under the cover will prevent unit from filling). Good luck

Pumping water intermitting

If the pump motor runs continously it probibly is a suction side air leak, check all "O" rings, gaskets and fittings, it could also be a restricted suction screen or filter basket as well, Need more info to get more specific.
