Question about Samsung Televison & Video
I have a samsung dvd player that connects to my samsung flat screen tv. Every now and then someone uses the tv and i don't know how they work it but the info button then doesn't work. if i disconnect the dvd player from the tv the info button works but when i reconnect the dvd player it does not work. how do i get the info button to work again? Samsung led tv UA55C6900 connected to a Samsung BD-HDD combo
Try resetting your TV back to factory mode. Press Mute, 1, 8, 2 then power on with remote.

Contact the Samsung service centre. It sounds to be a strange fault with Samsung brand TVs. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Inform them the problem you faces with the TV. They will surely provide a solution.

After reading your post a couple of times, it just seems your are in a little of a pickle here. The only thing I can suggest, since your tv will work with fios and not the your BD player(I assuming your using the same port on the tv with the same hdmi cable), is all about firmware. Maybe your tv is not compatible with the the BD player. Try updating the firmware on the tv.

SOURCE: I just bought a Samsung
Make sure nothing is blocking the front of your DVD player. You need a clear line of sight between the lower right corner of the DVD player where the sensor is and your remote. If your DVD player is sitting high on a shelf or lower than you are when you are sitting in front of the TV, it may be at a bad angle to "see" the remote.
This will sound crazy, but it often works: While standing up, point your remote at the wall opposite your DVD player at about the same height, and see if it works! This is a sure sign that the angle between where you are using your remote and your DVD player needs to be adjusted.
FYI- this often works because bouncing the remote beam off of an opposite wall spreads it more than pointing toward it, and is a good way to test your remote.

SOURCE: i am trying to connect
This might seem a little out there but you have hit the source button and scrolled down to the correct HDMI input for the device? Also if you dont see the correct input when you hit the source button then in the settings you might have that particular HDMI connection turned off.
