Is there any way that i can be scammed by selling through paypal

There sure are but mostly the problems appear on the buyer's side. If you get money before you ship or let the bike be picked up there are less risks on your side though. You might still face seller problems selling in the same state or city but much more chance and ability to address problems locally than across the country. If someone will buy the bike across the country someone would also likely do it locally so why involve yourself with a long distance sale in the first place. Cut your risks and cut your losses.

You have 45 days from the payment date to open a dispute. Common reasons for opening a dispute include:
  • You paid for an item but haven't received it and the seller is uncooperative or unresponsive
  • You received an item that was significantly-not-as-described (SNAD).
Click the Dispute a Transaction button in the Resolution Centre to open a dispute. Then, provide more information about the issue and send a message to the seller.
Transactions older than 45 days cannot be disputed but should still be reported. PayPal tracks seller performance trends in the event we need to take action to protect other buyers.

There is a buick for sale in Philadelphia,Pa. and I live in that city and I sent the person 3 e mails that I was interested in his car and would like to see the car. After three e mails still no answer....

Hi!

First check if there is an item number (12 digits) and if there is then locate it on eBay.com or at motors.ebay.com. Check if there's a listing like that. You will need to log in to your eBay account so that you can bid or buy it now the item. If you don't have an eBay account, then you need to create one.

If you see the item in a different site, do not continue. eBay will not cover that item under the buying protection if it's not listed on their site.

Here's how the REAL transactions work on eBay:
1. buyer sees the item listed on eBay
2. buyer buys/bids on the item ( Checking an reading the item description with an understanding of the item that they want to purchase)
3. buyer wins item (the buyer can now request the phone number of the seller if the buyers has concerns about the item.)
4. buyer's name appears as winner on the listing
5. item number appears in "Items Won" in buyer's My eBay page
6. seller sends an invoice
7. buyer pays the seller (buyer does not pay eBay)
8. seller ships item/ buyer picks up item

I hope this helps. Have a good one! Don't forget to rate!

PS: Also, do not send check, money order, wire or bank transfer. Check eBay's Accepted Payment methods.

How do I get into eBay to sell bags and quilts I have made

Hi, you can sign up for a free account with eBay here:
https://scgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?RegisterEnterInfo
Once you've registered, log in to your account and click the Sell link in the upper right corner. On the seller's page, click the big green List your item button, and eBay will walk you through putting your items up for sale, step by step.
Good luck with your sales!

When I try to buy something it tells me that I must be "Varified".

You must mean "Confirmed Address" since you are a buyer, not a seller. "Verified" stamp only pertains to sellers.
Anyhow: Here's from the Paypal FAQ.
PayPal offers confirmed addresses to help:
  • Guard against stolen credit cards.
  • Prevent identity theft.
  • Decrease chances of receiving a chargeback. (However, it is important to note that you can still receive a chargeback for reasons unrelated to fraud.)
Confirmed address means:
  • When a buyer's credit card billing and postal addresses are the same.
  • In some cases, PayPal has examined the buyer's PayPal account history.

Inform your buyer about how to confirm their address by communicating the following options:

  1. Add a credit card to their PayPal account. PayPal will confirm the credit card billing address (the address where you receive your credit card statement).
  2. Alternative address confirmation. This process takes several days and is only available for US accounts. To learn more, log in to your PayPal account and visit Alternative Address Confirmation.

No power to rice cooker

I put your part number in a search on ebay and found 85 results. That would be the first place I would try. I have purchased many parts for appliances from different sellers and had no issues. You have buyers protections through ebay and paypal. I would want the part to be listed as new and from a supplier as opposed to some seller selling only one item.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

More secure way of buynig a car

Red Flags, Dude, all over the place. I wouldn't deal with this seller no matter what assurances they gave. Just find another car, there are thousands out there just like the one you want through reputable dealers. Let this go before you get taken to the bank. Don't ever give anybody your ebay information, never.
